Visible crew/equipment: When they return to Enterprise after their successful mission, Iceman points and shouts, "You!" at Maverick. In the shot facing Maverick as he turns his head, the reflections of the camera and large reflector screen are visible on Maverick's sunglasses. Also, note the lack of a crowd of people behind Ice in the reflection. (01:40:45)
Revealing mistake: When Jim hits the brakes in his stolen patrol car, the two pursuing police cars turn and flip over and over. As they roll, the 'roll cannon' is visible on the underside of one of the cars (a round steel tube in a hole in the floor) and at left, the two cannon slugs from both cars bounce down the road. This device fires the slug downward, and the force behind it lifts the car when the slug hits the road, launching the car over.
Continuity mistake: When Max and Joey take a picture at Luigi's house, Joey is looking at the camera and not smiling while Max's hand is just below Joey's right ear, getting ready to grab it. When Max makes a copy of the picture later, Joey is looking away from the camera, smiling, and Max's hand is on Joey's shoulder. (00:50:50 - 01:14:40)
Continuity mistake: When Jason kills Lizabeth, the first shot shows Jason with his feet on either side of her head, but in the next shot, his feet are together and away from her head. (00:14:35)
Continuity mistake: When the Overlord is about to explode the Ketchup and mustard bottles, the Ketchup cap is either loose or tight depending on the angle.
Revealing mistake: When Lady Kong grabs Mitch before Kong rescues her - and when she later arrives at the dance - Mitch is replaced with a stiff dummy.
Revealing mistake: The chairman parks his car in front of Bel Fuse Ltd. And goes upstairs. His car explodes, but does it in front of a different building, probably switching to a stage building front; the metal doors don't have vents anymore and there are visible join lines in the asphalt and the cement. Other mistake: Van Damme in the opening credits is presented quite literally as "Ivan, the Russian." During the movie they call him Ivan and is last name in the tournament is mentioned by the announcer as "Krasinki." So naturally in the end credits roll Van Damme is billed as... Karl Brezdin. Close.
Visible crew/equipment: In the scene where Cobretti is talking with the Hispanic guy for the first time (after parking his car) he rips off his shirt revealing a black wire attached to his chest using duct tape. (00:13:30)
Revealing mistake: When Roland Tyler (Bryan Brown) beats Lipton (Cliff De Young) with his rifle, you can see that both times he hits him, the rifle bends as if being made from rubber. (00:42:16)
Continuity mistake: When Tommy Tong breaks Jarrel's stick, the broken part of the stick differs between shots. (00:33:40)
Continuity mistake: Connor decapitates Fasil holding his sword with one hand, but the close-up shows that he's using both hands. (00:09:25)
Visible crew/equipment: Binky and Turnip chase the protagonists after they cashed in. They crash into a toy stall, with the crash shown in a quasi-POV shot. To get that shot, a camera was mounted inside the car, obviously. The problem is, for the next 3 cuts, you can see that camera. (00:27:50)
Continuity mistake: When Jack Burton and the rest of the gang escape from the Wing Kong Trade Centre the first time, the guards fire at the left side of the bus breaking the windows and making holes in the bodywork. When we see the bus a few seconds later as it is driving away, it appears undamaged.
Continuity mistake: During the chase scene where they attach the "engine killer" remote to the Dodge M4S (aka Wraith's vehicle), 2 Chevy Malibu Cop cars are barreling up the road towards the racers. Once the cops pass the starting line, the cars are now Dodge cop cars. (00:44:25)
