Plot hole: There must have been a shortage of Martini-Henry rifles for this production, for in the climactic charge scenes in which the three ranks of British soldiers deliver volley after volley into the Zulu masses, the soldiers closest to the camera are equipped with lever action Martini-Henry's but those further back in the line can be seen pulling up and back on bolt action rifles.
Plot hole: When the boys go to get Ringo out of the police station, the other 3 are in front of the police officers and Ringo is way behind strolling along with his camera. When they get trapped in the courtyard they are all together. How did Ringo manage to pass all the policemen with out getting arrested, whilst going slower than everyone else?
Plot hole: The attack on Burpelson should have started at night. Using time cues like Turgidson's secretary stating the message was "about 8 minutes ago" and "it's three o'clock in the morning" (the clock says 3:15) Mandrake sent the go code approx 2:06am (CST). Later in the war room Turgidson states the code was sent "about 35 minutes ago". Ten minutes later the president orders General Faceman to assault the base. This order would have gone to Alvarado approx 2:51am, about 30 minutes to load troops and drive seven miles and they should have reached the base perimeter by 3:20am (with headlights).
Plot hole: The man with no name kills five Rojo bandits outside the city, in the so-called small house. His gunfire is heard in the town, where other Rojos respond by riding to the place of incident. In the film time, it is daytime. Shortly afterwards, the man with no name starts a fire. It is now night in the film. A fire alarm is sounded. Many scramble to extinguish it. Rojos then toss the entire town, looking for the man. Soon after that, Rojos blow up the external fence of the Baxter residence. So much ruckus in town until this point, but not a single Baxter has reacted. They still won't react until one minute later, when Rojos have set fire to their residence. 34 Baxters die on screen. Seriously, where were all these Baxters all this time? In a soundproof chamber of some sort? In coma? (01:02:10)FleetCommand
Plot hole: In the beginning, Charlotte insists to Velma that cousin Miriam is coming, but Velma says "She's never answered any of your letters." And Drew says she's not coming. But when Miriam does come, only seconds later, Velma and Drew now act like they were expecting her. Velma says "You nearly beat your telegram. We weren't expecting you till tomorrow." It's like the film has been badly edited, with Miriam's announcement of her arrival ending up on the cutting room floor.kh1616
