Gone with the Wind picture

Plot hole: At the end of the movie, when Rhett famously leaves Scarlett, she thinks about how she can win him back, and with a smile on her face, says, "After all, tomorrow is another day." Her daughter tragically died a few days before. Scarlett isn't the least bit heartbroken about losing her.

Suggested correction: This is not even a mistake, much less a plot hole. A character not acting the way an audience member expects them to is not a mistake.

It should also be noted that in the 1860s there was nothing unusual about a child dying. In those days, roughly 30% of children in white, well-off families like the O'Haras would die before the age of 5.

Plot hole: At the beginning of the movie, Lady Sarah Ashley's husband is killed before Nullah rides to Faraway Downs. There he sees Sarah go into the home and find her dead husband. This would mean that somebody had to recover his body and transport it to Faraway Downs faster than Nullah, who went straight there following the murder.

Stalag 17 picture

Plot hole: A tunnel is used for escape in the opening scene. Based on the massive effort exhibited in The Great Escape, how did they dig such a tunnel w/o access from the barracks? Where did they deposit the dirt? Effort to dig such a tunnel would require massive time, effort, and wood. All that effort for only 2 guys to escape.

The Heroes of Telemark picture

Plot hole: When Knut and Rolf are setting the bombs in the engine room of the Hydro ferry, they are interrupted by a German soldier who they quickly overpower and kill. Why don't the Germans then notice that this soldier is missing? The clocks attached to the bombs show the time around 01:35am when the soldier is killed yet the alarm still hasn't been raised when Rolf catches the ferry several hours later at 9am. This is far too long for any soldier to be on sentry duty without reporting in to the Guardroom. The Germans would have known that the soldier was on duty on the ferry and when he didn't report in then they would have searched the boat thoroughly and found the bombs. (01:51:30)
