Plot hole: Thomson and Thompson fall asleep whilst driving their jeep and are arrested because whilst they were asleep, they drove into and damaged several people's markets and as well as driving into the wall of a building. Although the decision to arrest them would seem normal due to the vandalism, it does not make sense why both of the detectives would have gotten arrested. Even if they both fell asleep at the wheel, only one of the detectives was actually responsible for the vandalism caused by this. (00:19:00)

Continuity mistake: Tintin is waiting for his meeting with the Emir in the castle. In the first interior shot of the castle whilst Tintin is waiting, the handle on the left side of the door is slightly lower than the handle on the right of the door. A few moments after Tintin walks into the room, the door closes behind him and the two door handles are suddenly level with each other. (00:19:05)

Character mistake: The man who escorts Tintin into the Emir's office asks Tintin if he is here about "today's events in the market" (referring to Thomson and Thompson crashing their jeep), to which Tintin replies "Yes", but seconds later, when Tintin is explaining his reasons to the Emir for visiting him, he states the events with the jeep occurred yesterday. Continuity mistake: When Tintin is telling to Emir that Mueller was leading the men that blew up the pipe line, there are two shots glasses on the table in front of them. A couple of shots later, the shot glasses have vanished from the table. (00:20:15)

Other mistake: When Snowy discovers the blue robe, Tintin picks it up. As he kneels down, he is doing the motions of reaching for the ground and picking up the robe, but the robe is significantly further away than where he is reaching down for. (00:26:15)

Continuity mistake: When Tintin is handed the letter that says the Emir's son has been kidnapped, there is a close-up shot of him holding it. When the shot cuts to Tintin handing the letter back to the Emir, for a split second his hands have changed position. More writing also appears on the letter. (00:27:10)

Revealing mistake: The Emir is always shown wearing a black robe with a yellow stripe down each sleeve. When the Emir is telling Tintin it was Bab El Ehr who kidnapped his son, there is a portion of the yellow strip next to the cane he is holding around his elbow, that keeps flickering from yellow to black and back to yellow again. This occurs three times in one shot. (00:27:15)

Other mistake: When Tintin and the Emir are talking with the military adviser, the Emir holds a box of cigars and lets the military adviser take one out of the box. The military adviser then takes out one of the cigars from the box, but the amount of cigars in the box remains the same. (00:27:50)
Land of Black Gold: Part 2 - S2-E11
Revealing mistake: When Tintin asks where he can find Mueller, the scene cuts to him walking through a market. Whilst he is walking through the market, he is wearing shades and the sun is reflected in them, but the reflection never stays still. The reflection is constantly flickering around the shades. Land of Black Gold: Part 2 - S2-E11
Audio problem: As Tintin finishes his conversation with Oliviera da Figueira, Tintin hears Snowy in the cupboard and turns around saying "Snowy." His lips don't match up with the dialogue. (00:31:20)
Land of Black Gold: Part 2 - S2-E11
Revealing mistake: When Tintin and Oliviera da Figueria are talking with the guard at the castle door, the guard sneezes and Oliviera takes out a handkerchief saying "Some beautiful handkerchiefs." When Oliviera finishes taking out the handkerchief, as he says "Some", a weird mark appears on the screen, right where the handkerchief is located. This is visible for only one frame but it can still be noticed. (00:32:00)
Land of Black Gold: Part 2 - S2-E11
Continuity mistake: When Tintin is investigating Mueller's room, he comes across a file with various articles in it. Before Tintin goes to pick up the file, the articles are on the right hand side of the file, but when he has the file in his hand, in the exact same shot, several articles have immediately appeared on the left hand side of it. Land of Black Gold: Part 2 - S2-E11
Other mistake: When Mueller is at his desk, writing, a fly comes into his view. Just before the fly appears in view of him, he is writing on his paper, but he is just shown writing in the exact same spot and nothing ever appears on the paper. (00:33:55)

Continuity mistake: When Tintin opens the secret passageway, the fireplace retreats backwards leaving an open gap about several feet wide in the fireplace. As he heads down into the passageway a couple of shots later, the open gap in the fireplace has suddenly expanded much further. (00:35:00)
Land of Black Gold: Part 2 - S2-E11
Continuity mistake: After Tintin has found Abdullah, he fights with one of the guards and knocks the guard out. When Tintin knocks out the guard, he has a gun in his right hand. Two shots after this, the gun has vanished. (00:35:50)
