The Greatest American Hero

The Best Desk Scenario - S1-E9

Continuity mistake: After the successful junkyard arrests, when it cuts to Ralph and Pam walking outside at the high school they stop at Ralph's new office. Its exterior door is white with three nameplates attached, and a brick wall perpendicular to it, but a few minutes later, while Bill and Ralph are arguing it cuts to another exterior shot of Ralph's office, and now the door is blue with one nameplate attached, and the brick wall has vanished.

The Hit Car - S1-E3

Character mistake: While Bill and Ralph are arguing in the car, Ralph refers to Bill's injuries by saying "you look like an advert insurance company", which makes no sense. What he obviously meant to say was either "you look like an advert for an insurance company" or "you look like an insurance company advert."

Season 1 generally

Deliberate mistake: When the show premiered on March 18th, 1981 Ralph's last name started out as Hinkley, but after a couple of episodes had aired on TV, on March 30th a man named Hinckley shot then U.S. President Reagan and three other people, so in the remaining episodes of season 1 Ralph's last name was changed to Hanley. His last name was changed back to Hinkley in season 2.
