Continuity mistake: When Barney is driving Fred to the doctor after his accident at the bowling centre, you can see that Dino is sitting behind him in his car, but in the shot where Fred says "I don't want to see a doctor!", Dino has disappeared.

Continuity mistake: When Fred is holding his bowling ball in Alley 13 at the bowling centre, you can see there is a bowling ball rack behind him, but in the next shot the rack has disappeared.

Continuity mistake: After Fred brakes his car to avoid hitting the black "Catosaurus", Barney's hands can be seen on the front of the car, but they're not on the car in the next shot.

Pebbles' Birthday Party - S5-E4
Continuity mistake: During Pebbles' Birthday Party, nine dancing girls come out of her birthday cake, but when they perform as a group, there are only six.
Continuity mistake: At the end of the episode, watch the colour of the time-machine inventor's outfit. You can see it's light blue when he pulls the lever, but when he gets the Flintstones and Rubbles back to the fair and asks them what happened, his outfit is a darker shade of blue. It then changes back to its lighter shade as before.
Continuity mistake: Towards the end of the episode when the time-machine inventor pulls the lever on the machine, three lemons appear and he says "Wow, Jackpot!". But in the next shot, when the Flintstones and Rubbles run out of the machine, the lemons have vanished.
Continuity mistake: When Fred pays the man at the hamburger stall 'two rocks', he places the money on the counter. When we see a close up of the money, one rock is behind the other one, but in the very next shot the two rocks are now lying side by side.
Continuity mistake: When the man at the hamburger stall gives Fred his 'brontosaurus burgers', he serves them on a tray, but just a few shots later the tray is nowhere to seen.
Continuity mistake: When Barney shows Fred the circled ad in the newspaper about auditioning for "The Ed Sullystone Show", we see a close-up of the ad and you can see that the circle around the ad is completely different from the one seen in the previous shot.
Continuity mistake: When Fred goes over to Wilma after she drops the cups and saucers after seeing him shrunk, the broken crockery that surrounds him is completely different to what's seen in the previous shot.
Continuity mistake: In the scene where Fred and Barney are in the doctor's surgery, the doctor produces a lollipop for Fred. When he produces the lollipop, you can see it's well away from Fred, but as the shot changes the lollipop is much closer to him than it was in the previous shot.
Continuity mistake: In the scene where Mr. Slate asks his employees to gather round for a group photo, Fred decides to liven up the situation by giving Sandy a 'hot foot'. When Mr. Slate takes the photo, Fred is lighting the match on Sandy's foot, but the picture that comes out of the camera shows him not lighting the match at all.
Continuity mistake: Throughout the first season, Fred and Barney's boss' name changes from George Slate to George Granite and back.
Audio problem: When the man living in Barney's house says, "Yeah, struck it rich in oil years ago!" to Fred, his voice is completely different to the one heard when he opens the door.
Continuity mistake: When Barney puts down the telephone and says "Could it be Fred Flintstone after all these years?", the receiver vanishes shortly before the scene changes.
Continuity mistake: When Fred tells Wilma that he is giving up inventing for good at the end of the episode, you can see that Betty is sitting next to Wilma on the couch. When we see a close-up of Fred in the next shot, Betty is missing.
Dr. Sinister - S5-E8
Continuity mistake: When the aeroplane arrives at Dr Sinister's volcano, Fred and Barney are led down the stairs by the three crooks, but when they arrive at the sliding door, one of the crooks has gone.
Answer: The ratings had declined in its last few seasons, and the series was cancelled.
