Continuity mistake: At the end the narrator states that they never see or hear from A.J. again; however, in Season 4 'The Abdication' is about A.J. coming back in connection with a movie for which he wrote the screen play.
Visible crew/equipment: After the children go off to collect berries while Jim-Bob stays home, when it cuts back to John-Boy and A.J. with the truck, the reflection of the camera operator is visible at the center of the windshield. (00:06:30)
