Plot hole: Laura successfully knocks out both bad guys, steals their van and crashes through the warehouse doors. The van doesn't stall, but inexplicably, she stops it, gets out and runs away on foot, even though the baddies are coming to and coming after her. Not the option you'd expect a kidnap victim to choose: most people would floor it and keep on driving. (00:23:40)
Continuity mistake: Steele props up the deceased Kalil and puts a cigarette in the dead man's hand. When the camera angle reverses, the cigarette moves to a different position: first it's between fingers two and three, then it's between three and four. (00:25:45)
Continuity mistake: The windshield of Morey's car shatters when they storm Considine's gate. The glass is spidered and sagging, but all there - until a few shots later, when suddenly more than two-thirds of the windshield is missing altogether. No one had time to knock the glass out. Steele Trap - S1-E10
Continuity mistake: When Steele and Randi begin to dance, she puts one hand on his shoulder and he is holding her other hand by his waist. When the shot changes, both of her arms are now around Steele's neck. There was no time for her to change positions.
Continuity mistake: Laura grabs her day planner and closes it. She then clips a pen to the top, stuffs her pocketbook under her left arm and begins to walk out. As she passes Murphy, she flicks the planner at him with her right hand. The pen goes flying out and a moment later, a woman's voice sounds in surprise, as if she just got hit with the pen. The pen flip may be deliberate, but it doesn't seem like it, as Murphy doesn't react at all. Also, as Laura continues to walk, she puts the planner, still in her right hand, over her head as Steele chases after her, calling her name. Cut to the next shot from the front; Steele is still calling her name, but now the planner is in Laura's left hand and by her side and her pocketbook is now under her right arm. (00:30:10)
In the Steele of the Night - S1-E9

Factual error: Jeweler Albert Harrad calls Laura from his desk phone, but only punches six buttons before getting hold of her office. All U.S. phone numbers have seven digits: six wouldn't have connected him to anything. (00:37:30)
Steele at It - S3-E1
Continuity mistake: Steele and Laura swim ashore soaking wet and get covered with sand on the beach. Moments later, their hair remains wet, but their clothes are dry and completely clean.
Continuity mistake: A small blotch of shaving cream stubbornly adheres itself to Steele's left ear after he shaves. While he's talking to Chalmers, the blotch changes shape several times, then disappears altogether between takes. (00:04:00)
Steele Trap - S1-E10
Factual error: Laura deduces that Ambrose's TV message, which suddenly came on in the dining room, wasn't live but a recording. She says that the VCR's timer had been set to begin playing the message during the guest dinner. But with a standard, unmodified VCR, which this is, that would be impossible. VCR timers work only to record something - not to play it back. (00:23:10)
Continuity mistake: Season 2 "Hounded Steele" - When Doolittle is returning with the access card, he crawls under the same light beam twice.
Continuity mistake: Season 2 "Hounded Steele" - At the end, just after Steele kicks the gun away from Blalock, Laura runs up to them. The collar of her coat is turned up but the lapels are flat. The shot switches to a close-up and now the coat lapels are standing straight up.
Continuity mistake: Season 4, Episode 18, "Steele at Your Service": When he meets Laura and Mildred in the mansion, Steele takes off his gloves. Just a few shots later, they're back on his hands. (00:16:10)
Continuity mistake: During the last scene of the opening credits, they are robbing the museum and Steele and Laura slide across on a zip line. When Steele catches Laura, she flops over his left shoulder. The shot changes and Laura is instantly upright so she can slide down Steele's body while looking at him romantically.
Visible crew/equipment: Season 4, Episode 22, "Bonds of Steele": When Laura jumps from the moving car, a considerably more muscular stunt woman is apparent as she rolls down the hill and runs across the beach. (00:28:30)
