The Night of the Tycoons - S4-E23

Continuity mistake: In the last scene, there is close-up shot of the back of West's box car around dusk in the middle of dry brush. When Lionel opens the door to enter, the background is nighttime with a barely visible tree by the door.

The Night of the Tycoons - S4-E23

Continuity mistake: Three fourths into this episode, West fights several clowns in the bar. West's jacket becomes very dirty around his upper left chest and left knee areas. West runs through a nearby door into the hallway with completely clean clothes. As West is freeing Lionel, only the lower left knee is dirty; the jacket is still clean. The next full shot of West has the knee area clean.

The Night of the Tycoons - S4-E23

Continuity mistake: The first scene shows West riding into town wearing a blue shirt, a black kerchief, blue corduroy jacket with black leather lapels, black chaps, and a large belt buckle. After he gets off his horse to start walking, the next close-up of him walking shows him wearing a fancy blue vest, a blue neck piece, different blue jacket with blue lapels, and no chaps. West wears this for the remainder of the scene.

The Night of the Brain - S2-E21

Revealing mistake: Mr. Braine screams as his steam-powered chair crashes into the bandstand. If you look closely at the next shot, just before the explosion, you can see that the dummy now in the chair has its head bowed forward. It also has light brown hair, rather than Mr. Braine's silver hair. (00:47:10)

The Night of the Infernal Machine - S2-E14

Trivia: West collides with the cook and sends him sprawling face-down in a huge platter of gelatin. Before racing off again, West quips, "Sorry about that, chef!" This was a winking homage to the 60s spy comedy Get Smart and its bumbling hero Maxwell Smart's famous catch-phrase, "Sorry about that, Chief!" (00:47:30)
