It's really hard to write a show that's laugh-out-loud funny, and they're few and far between; Arrested Development is certainly one of them, pulling all kinds of comedic surprises and brilliantly written situations and dialogues.

Continuity mistake: When Lindsay has just returned home and is placing the flowers she has bought into a vase, we see her remove the flowers from the shopping bag and place them on the kitchen worktop. A few shots later, the flowers have moved back into the bag and we see Lindsay remove them again.
Trivia: Dr. Stein is played by Dan Castellaneta, famous for playing Homer Simpson on "The Simpsons". When Stein admits his diagnosis of Michael's appendectomy was wrong, he uses Homer's trademark catchphrase "D'oh!".
