Corrected entry: This is actually from the last few episodes of season 5, with the plotline of Darlene being accepted to an art school in Chicago, and David not. Problem: they both applied to the same school, and at least Darlene was applying into the writing program (I don't remember if David was, too) and there is only one art college in Chicago that has writing programs: Columbia College. And it wouldn't have been possible for David to have been rejected from there - Columbia has open admissions.

Correction: This is a fictional show, and the college they applied to was fictional as well.

Corrected entry: In the episode Maybe Baby, Roseanne has an amnio and they think something is wrong with the baby so they have a second one which turns out fine. The doctor reveals that it's a girl but then later, she has a baby boy, Jerry. The only way he could have been wrong would be if maternal cells were tested instead of fetal cells.

Correction: According to the amniocentesis is only 99% accurate, infact, my own son was identified as a girl from the amniocentesis. It is rare but it happens.

Corrected entry: When Crystal gives birth to the baby she has with her husband Ed (Dan's father), she announces in the hospital that it is a girl. But in future episodes it shows and says that she has two boys: the older son and also the one fathered by Ed.

Correction: During the show's run Crystal gives birth to one boy (Little Ed), and one girl (Angela), both fathered by her husband, Ed (Dan's father). She also has Lonnie, her teen-aged son from a previous marriage.

Corrected entry: The exterior stock shot of the Conners' house doesn't match the interior. In the stock shot, the front door is all the way to camera left; inside the living room, the door to the outside is near the center of the room.

Correction: The stock photo still matches the inside of the Conner House; there is approximately a three foot space alongside the door. On the inside of the house there's a cabinet piece on that wall, beside the door, and the TV in the living room is directly across from it. In the credits for the Season Finale of Season 8, we see the TV is pushed up against a wall, where normally the cameras are.

Disagree with the correction to this entry. The Conner living room's dimensions do not match the stock photo at all The photo shows the space right of the door is far too shallow to be the Conner living room. The real house is located in Evansville, Indiana, and its living room is situated to the left of the entry where the big windows are. Also, the front porches are completely different lengths. There are photos of the real house's interior on that show the differences:, -Evansville, -Indiana_rb/77104997_zpid/.

Corrected entry: In the episode where Mark gets drunk and punches the jukebox at The Lobo while Dan is playing poker with his friends Roseanne is out with the girls, supposedly at The Lobo. Roseanne is never shown there and Dan even asks at one point how many beers she had. Roseanne has no knowledge of Mark's accident even though both characters were supposed to be there at the same time.

Correction: In the scene before Dan gets the call about Mark, it shows Roseanne, Jackie, Crystal, and Bonnie sitting at the lobo discussing how the town is falling apart financially. Then Anne Marie (friend of Roseanne) comes in and continues to talk about the financial woes. They then discuss settling the bill. Then Roseanne leans over to a guy asking him how his bike is running. Then makes a joke about writing the tab off as a business expense. Then they all leave. It then cuts to Dan playing poker with the guys.

Corrected entry: Over the course of the show, the entrance into DJ's bedroom changes position. In the earlier seasons, the entry was on the right-hand side of the screen and the bathroom door was to the left. In later episodes, the characters entered the bedroom from the left-hand side. Everything else in the room remains the same.

Correction: DJ moved into Darlene and Becky's old room across the hall in later episodes.

No, the one I'm referring to was not Becky and Darlene's old bedroom. It was DJ's room and it was when Darlene was still living at home in her own bedroom (after Becky moved out).

Stressed to Kill - S4-E9

Revealing mistake: Shortly after the fight with Becky, Roseanne asks Jackie to go across the street to get her something to drink, so she can smoke in secret. After Roseanne lights the cigarette and walks near the register, Jackie's plaid coat can be seen in the door's window as she waits for the next scene.

Trivia: Roseanne's three ex-husbands have appeared or worked on the show during its run. Her first husband, Bill Pentland, wrote a few episodes for the show and played Dan's friend, Freddy, in a season one episode. Tom Arnold, her second husband, played Arnie and was an executive producer. Finally, her third husband, Ben Thomas, had a cameo as a police officer who pulled her and Jackie over in an episode later in the show's run.

Question: The original couch changes skirts somewhere along the line. The new skirt is beige (does not match the overall material like the original) and appears to be a couple of inches taller than the original. I surmise either Rosanne or John have back issues and the couch legs were increased so to raise the level of the seating. What was the reason?

Answer: Clearly, the only person who could truly answer this question would be a set designer for the series, or someone else directly connected to the series who would have this kind of detailed information. I looked on and Cheryl Lanner is credited as set designer through 1997. I quickly found her Facebook page, and I directed your question to her. After some time, Ms. Lanner has replied as follows: "I decorated the last season 1/2 but after 9 seasons the sofa just plain got worn out and had to be repaired from 8 years of usage. There was a board put on the sofa but as I've said, it was due to so much usage. If they had back problems I was unaware of them, but you can be assured that if that was the problem it would have been fixed immediately. Take care Michael!"

Michael Albert

Answer: One episode of season seven has a moment when Dan hops over the couch and breaks one end of it. The board was probably added so they could keep using it like nothing happened.
