Corrected entry: When they remove the alien bug from Sheppard's neck, Ford tries to revive him with the defibrillator. As it fails, they agree to move Sheppard through the event horizon of the stargate, because this would prevent him from dying, and Teyla pulls Sheppard into the gate. The problem is that everything what goes through the gate is dematerialized, so Teyla couldn't pull Sheppard into the gate, since by the time he is pulled into the gate completely, Teyla has long been disappeared. Stargate: Atlantis (2004)
1 corrected entry in Thirty-Eight Minutes
Starring: Jason Momoa, David Hewlett, Joe Flanigan, Rachel Luttrell
Revealing mistake: When they are escaping in the beginning of the episode, watch Rodney dial. As he finishes, one of the DHD address panels pops out and falls off.
Dr. Rodney McKay: Using power... using power... using power.
Trivia: The show's two hour premier broke the SCI-FI's ratings record by attracting over 4.2 million viewers. It was also the most watched cable program that day.
Question: It was said earlier in the show that the Atlantis crew did not have enough power to dial Earth. Earth Control had no idea of the fate of the Atlantis crew until they sent the video package telling them what was going on, then Earth Control sent reinforcements to help out. My question is; if Earth Control was able to send reinforcements to Atlantis to help out, why could they not send a crew to check on the status of Atlantis? They knew the Atlantis crew made it in the 1st episode.
Chosen answer: Because the ZPM allowing them to dial Atlantis was being used at the Antarctic defense outpost. They couldn't risk making Earth vulnerable to attack from Anubis by depleting it with repeated dialing to the Pegasus galaxy. Once they knew Atlantis was in serious danger, they had no choice.
ZPM from Antarctic was depleted in first dial, dial in Siege was done via ZPM from Egypt (SG-1: Moebius Part-1/2).

Correction: The Stargates use technology that is so advanced it's almost magic. Since people do walk through them and pull things through them, the Ancients clearly designed them to make it possible. After all, how useful would they be if you couldn't take anything through them but what you are carrying?
