In the scene where Lou is recalling the first time he met Mary, he claims Mary had asked for a job as an assistant producer when in fact he gave her the job because it paid less than the secretary job she wanted.

Trivia: Mary Tyler Moore was very concerned about the fashion appearing on the show, if the hemline changed in Paris then a scene would be shot over again with the hemline of the dress/skirt changed accordingly.
