Plot hole: In this episode Dewey tells Francis that their aunt died from a cat eating her face (or something involving a cat mutilating her face) and we find out this is how she really did die. But then why would it be an open-casket if her face was destroyed?
Suggested correction: Morticians can do fantastic work - this is very common.
Plot hole: Hal says that his father was never there when he got dumped. But in episode 7, "Francis Escapes" Hal tells Francis he's never been dumped.

Trivia: Betty White plays Lois father's other wife. Cloris Leachman plays Lois' mother. Both of these woman were on the Mary Tyler Moore show. At one point in that show White's character has an affair with Leachman's character's husband.
Question: What does "du kaya mischna" mean? Ida says it when falling asleep during the Christmas episode with Francis.
Answer: It is made up - although it is implied she is Croatian, she never mentions it herself.
Answer: Right, complete nonsense. Du, obvious pain prefix for two, Kaya is drugs in Jamaica and a fruit, coconut thing in Asia, and Mishna, spelled multiple ways, are certain types of studies in Hebrew.
