Plot hole: As Mama tells Iola about the April Fools' jokes the family has played on her over the years, Iola expresses surprise. Considering Iola has been Mama's friend for years and is constantly at the Harper house, it seems impossible that Iola had never heard of any of the April Fools' pranks.
Revealing mistake: When Iola's quilt shrinks in the dryer at the end of the episode, the individual squares do not shrink. Instead, there are simply fewer of them in each direction.
Naomi Oates Harper: Sonja, honey, did your mama ever talk to you about boys?
Sonja Harper: Well, she told me never to marry a locksmith.
