Continuity mistake: Near the end of the show, the squadron has to land on a carrier deck. The shots from the sky go back and forth between a straight deck carrier and an angled carrier deck. Also, an angled carrier wasn't put into use until the early 50's by the British, Black Sheep takes place in WWII.

Continuity mistake: 2/3 through the show, the new commander has them practicing. Two pilots want to mess with him and change radio channels, but the new major catches on and changes channels with them to listen in. Afterward, he talks to the squadron over the radio but never changed back to the original frequency to enable him to b.
