Daredevil

Blindsided - S3-E4

Question: Matt has the taxi take him to the prison and tells the driver to wait for him. But the taxi is parked right next to the exit gate, so as close to the prison as you can get. During such an intense riot and lockdown, would a corrections officer tell the taxi to move? This is a question for people with prison/correctional work experience in regards to lockdown procedures.

Reunion - S3-E11

Question: The burial vault which Matt and Karen hide in has the name "Edmond Cleary Cass" on the front of it, shown pretty. Does that name have any significance to the show or Marvel?

Jon Sandys

Chosen answer: After some research, I can say that no, Cass is not a character of Marvel, nor is he present in the Netflix show. As far as I can tell, it's either a real person, or a random name chosen for the coffin, most likely the former. In another season of Daredevil, the show utilized a real cemetery displaying real names in the tombstones.

Answer: I did a little research too. Interestingly enough I found a Friar named "Edmund Cass" who as far as I could tell is still alive and well. I wonder if that was just a coincidence.

Show generally

Question: Are there any obvious nods to the previous 2003 film version? A friend said he thought he caught a few subtle nods to it, but I don't recall seeing any during the first two seasons.

Answer: There are none. Only nods to the comics.

A Cold Day in Hell's Kitchen - S2-E13

Question: When Frank returns to his home, he has to push through a pile of mail to open the door. He then walks into the kitchen, sits down at the table, and picks up a newspaper that reads "Frank Castle Dead." Where did the fresh paper come from? Obviously Frank didn't leave it, and it must have been put there within the last few days.

Chosen answer: Castle picks up the newspaper from the pile of mail and carries it to the table. There don't seem to be other newspapers in the pile, and there should be more given how long he was away, so perhaps only that issue was put through the mail slot. Karen may have done it, but she seems to still think he was dead at that stage.

Penny and Dime - S2-E4

Character mistake: When Matt is talking to his priest Father Lantom, he says "it was a nice sermon" instead of "it was a nice homily." In the Catholic church "homily" is the correct word; sermons are Protestant. (00:11:30)
