Corrected entry: When Nathaniel Barnes, the new captain of the GCPD, makes his speech, he says, "An escaped convict just strolls in here, into our house. Our house. And murders your commissioner and nine of your fellow comrades." It was Captain Essen who was killed and not the commissioner. (00:03:40)

Continuity mistake: When Nygma examines the corpse, he pushes his right hand deep into the body. When he is caught, he holds both hands up in the air. The glove on his right hand is completely clean, when it should be covered in blood and gore.

Edward Nygma: [while Lucius Fox is removing the chip from his brain] Ow! Will you be careful?
Lucius Fox: If you'll stop moving, this will go a lot faster.
Edward Nygma: Well, if you would be more careful, I wouldn't potato all the long legs from the hidden spoon.
Barbara Kean: What just happened?
Lucius Fox: I believe the chip is installed against his speech center.
Barbara Kean: Huh. Do it again.
Lucius Fox: The human brain is not a play thing, Ms. Kean.
Edward Nygma: Please don't habituate the curtain rod.
Trivia: Paul Reubens (better known as Pee-Wee Herman) plays Elijah Van Dahl, who claims he is Oswald Cobblepot's (a.k.a. The Penguin) father. Reubens played The Penguin's father in the film "Batman Returns."
Question: Trying to remember which episode had a literal 'black market' - crooks were pushing shopping carts down isles with signs indicating which contraband was stocked in which isle.
Answer: "The Merc" was a warehouse like store with aisles that sold mainly weapons, machetes, AK-47s, C-4, barrels of acid, etc. In s02e05, "Scarification", it was shown being raided by GCPD.

Correction: Sarah Essen was appointed Commissioner of the GCPD after Loeb quit in the 1st episode of season 2, "Damned If You Do...". This was ultimately short-lived when she was killed by Jerome Valeska in episode 2, "Knock, Knock".
