His face, and the back and front of his clothing are covered in black smudges. As soon as she asks, "So, how does it feel?" in these shots all the smudges on his face and clothing are different. Continuity mistake: While planning their operation, Matthews' watch can be seen as he says, "We've got only 48 hours," and the time reads 1:50. Continuity mistake: Just after agent Grant is shot, there is a shot of Ivan and the blonde Russian at the back bar shooting at McDonald and his men. In the second shot McDonald and Clonsky crouch down at the table near the front door and are shooting at the Russians . In the third shot McDonald is still seen crouching and shooting at the Russians, but he's now crouching at the back bar and the Russians are now at the kitchen doorway. Continuity mistake: McDonald and his men burst into the restaurant and Gracie holds her gun out in front of her with both hands aimed at Krashow, Ivan and the rest. In the first shot her braids are in front of her shoulders, second shot behind her shoulders, next few shots in front, then yet again behind her shoulders, and then another shot with one braid in front. Continuity mistake: The agents burst into Laika Restaurant wet from the rain outside. There is a difference in how wet they are, specifically McDonald, in the wide shots, semi close-ups and close-ups. Continuity mistake: In the wide shot as Victor is boarding the airplane, he answers Matthews' question and the suitcase Vic holds in his left hand has a flap with two straps and buckles on the side facing out. In the subsequent close-up the suitcase is reversed, the flap with two straps and buckles are now facing his leg. (01:25:40)

Continuity mistake: Gracie rushes into the dressing room saying, "I overslept my beauty sleep," and Cheryl's bangs/fringe are wide and poofy having just come out of the roller. Yet in the mirror's reflection shots, Cheryl's bangs/fringe are narrow and flat and Miss Hawaii and Miss California differ in their positions too. (01:19:25)

Continuity mistake: When Vic is packing to leave the hotel, Gracie rummages through the make-up scattered on the table, yet in the following close-up the make-up is arranged differently and the upright lipstick suddenly appears. Also, when Vic walks out of the bathroom, in the close-up he's already way past the doorway, yet in the wide shot he's just coming out of the doorway. (01:17:55)

Continuity mistake: In the first shot, as the Miss United States sash is being put onto Cheryl's shoulder, Gracie repeats to her, "Don't take the crown." In the next shot, the sash is being put on Cheryl again as Gracie keeps talking. (01:38:20)

Continuity mistake: When Ivan, Krashow and the other Russian sit, the unoccupied table between them and Gracie is seen. That table is seen again when the waitress walks over to pick up the tip and clear it. The position of the utensils, used napkins, etc., are different in both shots. This is before she touches any dishes. Also, on the table that Krashow leans on as he's choking we see the bread off the board, and the knife under the napkin, but in the next close-up of the table, the bread is on the board with the knife under the loaf. Continuity mistake: At the Laika Restaurant all guns are pointing at Krashow, the choking Russian. Before Gracie says, "Sir, he's turning purple," Krashow's watch reads, 3:30. Yet just after she says that, his watch reads 6:40. (00:04:55)

Continuity mistake: Stan asks Cheryl, "Describe your perfect date," and on stage to Cheryl's left are Miss Wisconsin, Connecticut, Indiana and Illinois. Yet after Gracie turns away, in the wide shot there are another two contestants with the original four to Gracie's left. Also in this wide shot, behind Stan and Cheryl there are contestants lined up in front of the shrubbery, but in the previous close-up as she answers the question, there are no contestants behind them. All are idle onstage during the interviewing. (01:05:40)

Continuity mistake: In the overhead aerial shot, as last year's Miss United States walks onstage with the tiara on the pillow, the tiara is in the center of the pillow near her body. In the next close-up, the tiara is now angled and in a completely different position on the pillow. In the next shot it's in the same position as the first shot. (01:38:30)

Continuity mistake: In the first shot as Stan says, "Our new Miss United States is..." Miss Nebraska is between Miss California and Miss Texas. In the second shot as Stan continues, "Rhode Island's Cheryl Frasier," Miss California is in the middle of the other two. Then as Gracie is being pulled away, Miss Nebraska is in the middle again. Continuity mistake: When trying to retrieve the audio feed into Gracie's earpiece, in the first shot Clonsky has the female connector in his right hand and male connector in his left hand and puts them together. Yet in the close-up of his hands the female connector is in his left hand and male connector is in his right hand. (00:41:50)

Continuity mistake: During the orientation breakfast while sitting at the table, in the close-up Miss Hawaii asks, "Did it sound like I was finished?" and her hair is behind her shoulders. In the next wide shot her hair is in front of her shoulders. This continues back and forth for the next three shots of her. (00:39:25)

Continuity mistake: While performing the water glasses Gracie says, "He's definitely the shooter." The next close-up of gun man shows him standing to the left of yellow shirt man, right in front of the display easel, with a particular crowd around them. Gun man's next shot now shows him behind yellow shirt man and no display easel anywhere. His next shot, once again he's to the left of yellow shirt man, in front of the display easel and a man with a stetson and a dark blue denim shirt sits there. Next shot, the display easel and denim shirt man are gone. In the next side wide shots, the display easel is back. (00:53:55)

Continuity mistake: At the airport, in the shot from inside the car, Vic, Matthews and Clonsky take their luggage out of the back. One button is closed on Vic's blazer, Matthews has the black duffel in his right hand and the suitcase in his left hand and Clonsky has the blue duffel in his left hand and two other pieces of luggage in his right hand. Yet in the next shot from outside the car, there are now two buttons closed on Vic's blazer, Matthews' luggage switched hands and Clonsky's blue duffel is now in his right hand with one of the pieces of luggage.
