Billy Elliot (2000)

Trivia: At one stage in the movie, Billy and his dance teacher travel across the Transporter Bridge, the only working cradle bridge in the world, which crosses the River Tees from Middlesbrough to Port Clarence, Stockton-on-Tees. At the time of the Miners Strike in 1984, when the film is set, neither Middlesbrough nor Stockton-on-Tees had an active coal field. Whilst the Transporter Bridge, now a grade 2 listed structure, is still working, it is not really a reguarly used entry or exit use from Teeside, if Billy and his teacher were going to an audition. Which raises the question as to why they were on the bridge, apart from giving the director the chance to show off a spectacular structure.

The Sixth Extinction II: Amor Fati (3) - S7-E2

Trivia: Mulder's experiences during this episode bear an uncanny resemblance to the experience of Christ in The Last Temptation of Christ. Mulder is positioned in a crucifixion pose, with a metal crown of thorns. He enters a dream stage where he is no longer a saviour (pursuing The Truth) and can live a normal life - with the woman he loved (as Jesus does with Mary in LToC). Life passes by in jumps, people die. Outside the window the apocalypse is raging and at The End Scully takes the role of Judas in challenging his decision to opt out of his mission.

Trivia: Tony Wilson of Factory Records, who produced many of the bands whose music is featured in this show, can be seen at the burger van early in the show.

Trivia: The space shuttle Enterprise appears in the title sequence of the show - this shuttle was named after the Enterprise from the original series (after a poll, and also because Star Trek was President Carter's favourite show). A case of reality imitating art and then art imitating that reality.
