Space Jam (1996)

Question: After the monsters brutally assaulted the toon squad, including Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck during the great game, why are Bugs and Daffy still in good condition while the other members, except Lola, are injured?

Roman Curiel

Answer: Because Bugs and Daffy are the great stars and have to be seen to still be ready and able. Same goes for Lola the sporty girl, the image of girl power. The rest look that way because its comical. They are toons.

Question: Why didn't Carlos turn into a zombie when he got bitten on the leg like Sgt. Peyton?

Roman Curiel

Answer: As shown in the first film, the virus doesn't necessarily hit at a consistent rate. It depends on the individual subject and the severity of the wound. Carlos managed to survive just long enough to get the anti-virus. Also, Peyton was shot and killed by Nemesis, thus he re-animated at a quicker rate, as his body shut down.

TedStixon

Question: Since North is guardian of wonder, Tooth the guardian of memories, Bunnymund the guardian of hope, and Sandy the guardian of dreams, what does Jack become the guardian of?

Roman Curiel

Answer: Jack is the guardian of fun. It's stated in the film.

Volcano (1997)

Question: Near the end, how the heck did Tommy (the child) pass through the kitchen without being noticed by the cooks?

Roman Curiel

Chosen answer: They were in a rush, trying to get things and get out.

MasterOfAll

Chosen answer: Dobby was aware of the plot to re-open the Chamber of Secrets, and tried to prevent Harry from returning to school. Harry refused to listen, so in an attempt to protect him, Dobby bewitched the Bludger to injure him severely enough that he would be forced to return home.

Scary Movie 3 (2003)

Question: At the rap club, when George makes his hood pointy, what did it symbolize that caused him to be thrown out?

Roman Curiel

Chosen answer: It made him look like a KKK member (they wore pointy white hoods) and then he gave what looks like a Nazi "Heil Hitler" salute.

Kung Fu Panda (2008)

Question: Why couldn't Po open the gates to the ceremony but his father could when Oogway declares Po the Dragon Warrior?

Roman Curiel

Chosen answer: They were locked.

MasterOfAll

Why lock them at the beginning of the ceremony only to unlock them before it's over? I believe this is a continuity error.

Up (2009)

Chosen answer: It is a fictional device that translates their barks into English (or, presumably, other human languages). It is impossible to say more than that because such a machine does not exist outside of the film.

Chosen answer: Imhotep had no weapon and there was no point, with his goal close at hand.

MasterOfAll

And yet he tried suffocating Rick in the original movie.

Question: During the attack of the fireflies, with the bridge and the vehicles, especially the digger, crashing down, why weren't they strong enough to wake up the dormant volcano?

Roman Curiel

Answer: They weren't an explosive force of giant magnitude.

Question: When Pluto sneaks in the trailer and orders the other mutants to set Bob on fire, Ethel exits the trailer. How come she didn't notice Pluto on her way out?

Roman Curiel

Answer: Pluto puts his hand over Brenda's mouth and Ethel doesn't bother to look over.

tomthemill

Question: At the very beginning, it says that a family got stranded in a desert. Is it referring to the Carter family from the first film?

Roman Curiel

Answer: Yes it is.

Chosen answer: Frodo is not completely in his right mind. He's been affected by the ring and the extreme physical and mental toll on him. He could very well have not seen Smeagol.

Gnomeo & Juliet (2011)

Question: At the end, when Gnomeo and Juliet emerge from the rubble, Juliet is in perfect condition. After her fountain got destroyed, shouldn't her feet have broken off because she was still glued and Gnomeo wasn't able to free her?

Roman Curiel

Answer: The pedal she was glued to was most likely destroyed from beneath her, which freed her.

Inside Out (2015)

Question: Near the beginning, in the new house, when Disgust, Fear, Anger, and Sadness mess with the panel, it turns into their colors including Sadness' color, then orbs came out with the colors of Disgust, Fear, and Anger, but why not of Sadness because she touched the panel too?

Roman Curiel

Chosen answer: If you mean the bit where the dad says the moving van won't be there until Thursday and they start pressing buttons, you see Sadness kind of tentatively reach for one of the buttons but then it cuts to the shelf, so you don't actually see her touch it.

Cars 2 (2011)

Chosen answer: It is hinted that he died off screen.

MasterOfAll

How though, because he seemed to be in perfect condition in the first movie.

Question: What I don't get is that if Thalia's tree had the barrier active all along while Luke, Annabeth, and Grover were kids, in the first film, how was the minotaur able to approach close to the entrance of the camp without being prevented?

Roman Curiel

Chosen answer: Thalia's tree was poisoned, weakening it, and leaving the camp vulnerable to attack. The quest for the Golden Fleece was to provide a cure.

raywest

Answer: Because the barrier prevents the monsters from entering the camp, not from getting close to it. It's the reason why after Percy used the fleece to strengthen the barrier, Luke and Kronos' army used the labyrinth to bypass it.

Pacific Rim (2013)

Question: Near the ending, when Stacker removes his helmet to speak to Mako, he leaves Chuck solo. Why is the neural link or drift thing not harming Chuck since he's briefly solo?

Roman Curiel

Chosen answer: The Jaeger isn't doing anything strenuous at this time, it's just standing still.

Mulan (1998)

Question: When Shang mourns for his father's death, Mulan approaches to him and says "I'm sorry" in her normal voice. How come Shang didn't tell she was female because of her voice?

Roman Curiel

Chosen answer: He just isn't paying that much attention to her voice at that moment. Think about it like this: If you had just lost your father to war, are distraught that you never got to say goodbye, and a male friend you had been training with for some time spoke two words to you in support and they sounded somewhat feminine, would you automatically assume they were actually a woman disguised as a man?
