Be Cool (2005)

Corrected entry: In the scene where John Travolta and Uma Thurman are convincing Steven Tyler that he was thinking about his daughters Mia and Liv (names mentioned) when he wrote the song Sweet Emotion, Steven responds, "Yeah, but they were just kids then." They weren't even born then. He co-wrote Sweet Emotion around 1973 or so, as it was on the Aerosmith album Toys In The Attic that was released in either 1974 or 1975. Liv Tyler was born July 1, 1977, and Mia Tyler was born December 22, 1978.

Correction: Yes, but I don't think Tyler remembers much of anything that happened in the 70's in detail. And what comes to Chili Palmer's (Travolta) part, this is once again just another goodsounding story to get things done his way.

WarGames (1983)

Corrected entry: At the beginning, the missile silo launch officers are changing shifts. Both of the officers going off duty exit the control room before either of the two relieving officers enter, thus leaving the watch stations completely unmanned for ten seconds or more, not very likely for a strategic nuclear military facility. (00:02:20)

Correction: Though it's probably not officially a permissible procedure, it doesn´t mean there can't be a little "off-the-record" behavior. These experienced men know fully well that they are the only ones down there as always.

Vertigo (1958)

Corrected entry: Carlotta's gravestone in Mission Dolores says "Dec 3 1831 - Mar 5 1857". So she was 25 when she died. But Elster later says to Scottie "Madeleine is 26, Carlotta Valdes committed suicide when she was 26".

rabid anarchist

Correction: A character mistake: Elster remembered and considered only the years in question as most of us would do.

The Blob (1988)

Corrected entry: When people come in contact with the Blob, it is like having acid poured on them. The flesh burns & dissolves. Obviously very painful. During the film, a couple is sitting in a car out in the country. The guy gets out of the car to mix some drinks. The Blob attacks the girl. She doesn't make a sound. He doesn't even know anything is wrong.

Correction: Maybe The Blob attacked through her mouth right away. It seems to have some intelligence after all.

The Thing (1982)

Corrected entry: If the crew had been trying to contact someone for 2 weeks without success, surely the TV would struggle to receive a signal as well but it appeared to be working fine.

Correction: They only watch their VCR collections.

From Hell (2001)

Correction: Still, as we know nothing about Mary Kelly's past, she very well might be the one prostitute who can.

S.Holmes

Literacy was widespread in 1880's England. Prostitutes were ordinary women who fell on hard times. There's no reason why she wouldn't be able to read.

The Terminator (1984)

Corrected entry: What's up with those pipe bombs Reese makes? They seem to make nothing more then a puff of smoke and a loud bang when he's throwing them on the highway, but they can blow a huge cyborg made of powerful metal into a dozen pieces? Not likely.

Correction: Be as it may, any non-shrapnel explosive works better when put into target, not on top or on the side of something.

From Hell (2001)

Corrected entry: Throughout the whole film, Mary (the redhead) always looks much cleaner and better groomed than all of her friends, who all look dirty, unkempt, and haggard. She also has a nicer dress. Where does she bathe, brush her hair, and clean her dress on a regular basis? She should share that information with her friends...

Correction: At least, in real life also, Mary Kelly was the only one of the sorry lot who had her own one room apartment, in which she "worked" and was eventually killed. Not to mention that she was by far the youngest and the prettiest, so she might have gotten by a bit better than the others.

Starship Troopers (1997)

Corrected entry: The movie starts in Buenos Aires, Argentina - a Spanish-speaking country. Why are all the billboards, signs, etc. in English rather than Spanish?

MoonMan

Correction: I'll find it very possible that in the future English will be officially the global language. (Now it's just unofficial.) That's surely the case also in this movie. Even those TV-spots and newsflashes in English are most likely seen all over the world, not just in USA or something. There also doesn't seem to be any boundaries anymore for people not to move where ever they like, some Americans to Buenos Aires and so forth. So to my money the globalization has been finally accomplished here.
