Factual error: In the police shoot out scene, you can see that the plate carriers the actors are wearing are really empty. Brolin sticks his hand into Forsing's vest after he was shot, the vest easily folds away. You can also see in various shots how theirs vest bend with their bodies, in a way they wouldn't if they had plating in as they should to protect from bullets.

Factual error: When Armando fired the M141 SMAW-D from the helo, there was no back blast out of the other side, not to mention the other man is the back would have maybe had his face blown off from the back blast also. (01:20:10)

Sicario (2015)

Factual error: During the briefing before El Paso a group of men were introduced as "Delta." There were not "Delta" due to a couple of items: 1) They were using single point slings, that's a S.E.A.L. thing. Delta prefer to use two point slings. 2) Their sidearms were SIG P226, another S.E.A.L. thing. 3) Their dropleg holsters were way lower than Delta prefers theirs.

Factual error: At the shooting range when Reacher hangs his target, you can see it's either AS500 or something softer because of the damage. When Reacher fires his shots go clean through the target without any spalling damage done to the paper.

Factual error: When Swagger is about ready to shoot the can of stew he is using a CheyTac .408 with a muzzle break about 8 feet from his dog. At that range it would destroy the dog's hearing.

Midway (2019)

Factual error: Rear Admiral Raymond Spruance is the tactical commander during the Battle of Midway in the film when in reality it was Vice Admiral Frank Fletcher who was in charge.

Suggested correction: While true it's not a mistake, as the movie deliberately focuses on Spruance because of his greater role in the actual battle. Spruance was on scene approximately 36 hours before Fletcher. He had two carriers to Fletcher's one. After Yorktown was torpedoed, Fletcher evacuated to a nearby cruiser. When Spruance asked if Fletcher had additional orders, Fletcher replied "will conform to your movements", effectively turning command over to Spruance.

They didn't 'focus' on Spruance. They deleted Fletcher.

Semantics. If Fletcher is deleted, the only USN Task Force Commander left for the movie to focus on is Spruance.

Hobbs & Shaw (2019)

Factual error: In the helicopter scene, the main villain yells at the pilot to climb. He then goes up and throws the pilot out and takes over. It is a common misconception that helicopter pilots sit in the same seat as airline pilots (left seat). Helicopter pilots sit in the right seat. He just threw out someone that wasn't the pilot. Factual error: Glass gives the order to "submerge the ship." Submarines are always referred to as boats by their crew. (00:16:50)

Movie Medic

Suggested correction: "Submerge the ship" is the correct verbiage. While submarines are referred to affectionately as boats by the crew, they are still ships and are referred to as such when the officer of the deck or commanding officer gives orders.

The Conn Officer will first order the boat to be Rigged for Dive. Upon getting a green board on the Ballast Control Panel (BCP) indicating all major hull openings are shut (red indicator means open), and reports from all stations that the boat is Rigged for Dive, he'll order the Diving Officer to dive the boat. The Diving Officer will then order the Chief of the Watch (the BCP operator) to submerge the ship and announce it; the Chief of the Watch, on the will announce "DIVE, DIVE' on the 1MC.
