The West Wing (1999)

Holy Night - S4-E11

Corrected entry: Toby's father is mentioned as having worked for Murder, Inc; however, the opening scene with him on assignment is set in 1954, while Murder, Inc ceased operations in the mid-forties.

Correction: Murder, Inc. was simply a joke referencing Toby's father's past in the mob business. I really, really doubt that this was a real reference.

There's nothing in the scene to indicate that it was a joke, and the flashback is - apart from the anachronism - reflective of the actual organisation's operations.

Corrected entry: When the characters are wading out of the river onto the shore (after the waterfall scene), a metal swimming pool ladder can be seen in the lower right corner of the screen.

Correction: Not on the DVD - and that's a gentle slope, so why would there be a ladder? I'm pretty sure you're thinking of the steering wheel Marion's clutching.

Corrected entry: If the crystal skulls are supposed to be the actual skulls of the alien creatures, how were they able to speak or eat with their lower jaws fused to the upper jaw?

Correction: The crystalline bones are shown in numerous places to attract other objects, and when the skull is replaced it appears to be attracted to the rest of the skeleton; it is thus not unreasonable to expect that the jawbone is simply held to the skull by the same attractive force that the crystal bones exude throughout the story.

The Contractor (2007)

Corrected entry: Emily is telling Dial how to get to a meeting place and she says that "it's a block past such and such," although British people don't use the word block to explain distance.

Correction: Not traditionally, no, but in recent decades we've started using it a lot more, particularly in the larger cities and among those who watch a lot of films. So it's not at all unfeasible.
