Corrected entry: The plane randomly crashes, and a WHO research facility just happens to be within walking distance of the crash site. The odds against that are astronomical.
Correction: The plane does not 'randomly' crash; it is very clear that the pilots were directed to go to that facility (or presumably the closest airport to it). It seemed like the plane was preparing to land when it finally succumbed to zombification.
