The Village (2004)

I don't own this movie but watched it a few times on a friend's DVD. And I think I rented it from the library once.

I actually really like this movie. I know it gets a lot of hate as being part of Shyamalan's downfall, but I think this one is still good. Yeah a lot of his films after this really fell off and got bad, but this is still one of his good ones. At least in my opinion.

It's got a good cast of actors, compelling story and a mystery behind it. It's one of the few times I actually didn't predict the twist before the end, and still thought the twist made sense and worked. Usually if I can't predict a twist, often that's cause the twist is so stupid I wouldn't have considered it. Not in this case, at least from what I remember. Granted it has been a few years since I have last seen this film and am very due for a revisit.

That said, is till remember it very well and from watching other reviews on it like from Nostalgia Critic.
The use of colors in this is very well done, though the physic girl's ability is slightly confusing... I still get it. I like the spooky vibe and the way it plays with your expectations. It makes it one of my favorite horror movies.

The more I'm talking about it and thinking back, I'm tempted to make my rating 5 stars. However I really do need to give it a rewatch before I would commit to that so leaving it at 4 stars for now. I really like it.

I'm one of the few who likes how it ends, really. But I won't spoil it here. Usually in these reviews I don't' worry about spoilers as usually if you're looking at stuff for a film on Moviemistakes, you've already seen it. But this is a good enough ending/twist I don't want to spoil it here just in case.

But I do recommend it. If you've never seen this film and just are going off what other people have said about it negatively, I recommend you give it a shot for yourself. Go in blind if you can. I think you may be pleasantly surprised. This movie has actually aged pretty well.

Mistake Status: I don't own this movie yet but want to order the DVD. After then, I would like to put it in my line up to do mistakes on at some point.

Obi-Wan Kenobi (2022)

I watched this show on Disney +.

Man... I really had high hopes for this series. I should have known better with how modern Disney Star Wars is. But I really had high hopes.
Filling in some of the gap of what Kenobi's story was between Revenge of the Sith and New Hope? That could have been awesome if done right and handled with care.

But no, they dropped the ball on this. Granted it's not terrible... but having a show about Kenobi in this time of his life. And it's only "just OK " is very disappointing.
And it could have been so much more! From what I heard this was actually planned to be a trilogy of movies or a two full films. But they decided to mash it into a single season of TV with just 6 episodes. Given no room to breath, poor and shotty writing, some plot holes, some major lore breaking moments that are near unforgivable.
Yet still seeing Ewan McGregor back in this role once again is cathartic. And he still brings so much charm and energy to the part, even with a sub par script and series being written. There were a lot of cool moments in this show, along side all the stupid and dumb ones. In the end, while I'm tempted to give this a 2 star rating, the reality is I did think it was OK. I don't dislike the show but man is it disappointing. So I am conflicted. A 2.5 star would be more fitting.

You were the chosen one, Kenobi... but Disney has failed you... Disney has failed you.

Mistake Status: I will probably do more of the Star Wars shows in time. I had watched this prior to returning to the site.

Death Battle (2010)

This show is on YouTube.

I used to love this series a lot more. Probably cause it was the younger me or whatever, but over the years I've started seeing the flaws with how they go about this more and more.
It's still fun to watch, pitting two different characters against each other. However as a writer and actor myself... I'm getting tired of the way they set these battles up and wish they'd actually try with more of a story in each episode. Like they hardly give a reason for each character to fight the other at all in most cases. Or they kick it off for the stupidest of reasons.
This is one way that I like Super Power Beat Down far better in they actually think about why these characters would be fighting and set it up a lot better. That and Beat Down doing it in live action is awesome. I think Death Battle only did a live action episode once, and then never did it again despite saying they were going to.

That said, I still enjoy this show and have seen every episode (I think). I also tried to watch their podcast a couple times but keep falling out of it.

Despite the flaws and them getting things wrong, the bat writing at times, I still enjoy it enough to say 4 stars.

Mistake Status: I pick at it here and there. I may at some point go through every episode more closely but I wanna do Super Power Beat Down first.

I used to own this game on the N64. (Most of my old games were stolen a long time ago)

I had all 4 of the Star Wars games on the N64 and played the hell out of each one of them. It's been so many years now that I do have mostly just fuzzy memories of them, but I'm going off my memory and nostalgia anyways.

Battle for Naboo was one of two Phantom Menace tie in games on the N64 along with Racer. The other two were set during the original trilogy era. This one, except for a few unlockable bonus missions, is set entirely on the planet of Naboo or in it's orbit, and the plot takes place parallel to the film. The character from this game even appears in the movie as a background character.

I know Rogue Squadron is often considered the better game, even with this one being the follow up, development wise, to that game. However, I think I always liked this game more than Rogue Squadron. I still put countless hours into both games. That said the graphics in this game are a bit worse than Rogue, especially the character models. However I've never usually been one that's a big stickler for graphics.

So this takes place during the war on Naboo during Phantom Menace where you are a pilot in a group of resistance fighters battling against the Trade Federation's invasion force. Ship and vehicle combat, it's fun as hell. And it's this game where I fell in love with the N-X Police Cruiser. In fact that ship, and a lot of this game, have been a big influence on the Star Was fan series I'm writing, Star Wars: Sunrise.
This game can get difficult at times, and I remember moments of frustration. But I'm stubborn and push through no mater what and still completed this game.
If you like the prequel era or grew up during that time, or are a fan of the N64 and Star Wars games, this is a must play. I wish they'd bring it over to Steam already. In fact it's the only one of the four N64 Star Wars games to not be on Steam, which is a real shame. I'd love to play it again. Though maybe some day i'll dust off my old N64 and try to buy some physical games off eBay again to replace what was stolen from me.

Mistake Status: I have a couple listed, I believe just from memory back when that was still fresher on my mind a few years ago. Hopefully will be able to revisit this game at some point. If not I'll probably watch videos of cut scenes and stuff on YouTube to get more mistakes.

Larva Mortus

I own this game on Steam.
(this review is a copy paste of my review on Steam)

This is a small top down shooter that is a horror based dungeon crawler. It's actually pretty good for a small independent project like this. It's not super polished, but it's not overwhelmingly amateur either.
The game does have some bugs here and there, and one that can really hurt your achievement hunting, so be careful of that.

The game has a mix of it's normal campaign missions, as well as randomly generated missions that appear on the map as yo complete more. Most of the campaign missions are level locked, including the first one so you have to play a couple of the random missions to level up enough to access the main missions. This is fairly easy anyways. There is an good mix of enemies and weapons you fight and get. It does get harder as you go, though there seems to be a point where things don't get any harder despite you leveling up. However there is the difficulty setting where you can set from easy, normal and hard, and change it at any time from the map on your save file. You will want to start on easy as even on normal the difficulty ramps up pretty high with more enemies and them hitting you much harder.
Be carful though as the large demon enemies do have a 1 hit kill move regardless of how much health you have leveled up or the difficulty.

The achievements in this game are all item collection based, with different items having a chance of appearing in some rooms or after some enemies are killed. There are 25 different collectables, and 25 achievements attached to them. Which one appears is completely random, and ones that you already have can still spawn. So your achievements are based on complete RNG chance of if an item appears in the room, and then a 1 in 25 chance for each collectable it could be.
There is, however, a bug in the game that can prevent you from getting the last one.
Each item, once collected, is put into your equipment menu where you can view them. There are 25 slots in this menu which makes sense as there are 25 collectables. The problem, however, is that your sword that you start the game with for some reason takes up one of these 25 slots. This means, that through some odd coding in the game, once you have the other 24 slots filled up with collectables, this prevents the 25th collectable you need from ever spawning at all. Making it pretty much impossible to find. I have deleted my save file and started new characters several times, even uninstaling and reinstalling the game to try and clear this, but despite the 0 progress on the new saves, the items menu still shows all the items I had collected with the 25th slot filled by my sword. I have only ever seen this be emptied again hen installing on a different computer. I have played this game on 3 different computers over the years, but hadn't actually put the time into completing it till recently on this new one. Just so happens that the Bat Wing I never got in any of my other play throughs either and now I can't get it unless I go to a different computer to install.

Not too difficult, but a pain.

So over all, this game is really good and I enjoy it, just as an achievement hunter this collectables bug can be annoying

Mistake Status: N/A.

I own this game on Steam.

(this is a copy paste of my review of this game on Steam that I wrote a few years ago.)

This game was actually my first introduction into the Sniper Elite games, which lead me to getting into V2 and loving the series over all. I have the Trilogy game as well, but as of the time of writing this I haven't completed that game and need to.

This is a very very fun game, though a bit short. Best to play it and the sequel together or get the Trilogy game.
Set in WWII, this is an alternate timeline where Hitler and his cult opened up the gates to hell and caused demons to possess the Nazi armies turning them into zombies. It is up to Karl Fairburn and 3 unlikely allies to band together and fight against these armies of the undead, destroy the cult leaders, and finally taking down Zombie Hitler (though that's in the 3rd game).
This first game is the first 5 missions, and are more straight forward than the chaos that starts to happen in the second game. But this is a great launching point as you blast though walls of nazi zombies with your sniper rifles, machine guns, pistols and even some powerful shotguns you get.

there are your regular typical zombies in this game, however there are also other types of zombies that are more dangerous. Like the Elites, which are tall tanky zombies that hold large 50 caliber machine guns, constantly firing in your direction. They have helmets that block headshots and are very tough. There are kamakazi zombies that run at you with grenades and scream, or just pop out of the ground like Bouncing Betty mines. Though you wouldn't have much of a sniper game without having to deal with enemy snipers... and that goes for a zombie game to. Yes there are sniper zombies. They jump around from roof top to roof top, making themselves hard to hit. Taking aim at you and firing before leaping to another building. The later games add even more enemies, but that's mostly it here except the cult Generals that are bosses in the game.
Oh and there are skeletons. They are annoying to deal with but their weakness is their chest where the lungs and heart is.

This is an awesome game and was the first game I bought trading cards for to get the badges and foil badge. Even if you have the Trilogy version, I'd still recommend getting this original one, as it is a different experience with how things work to an extent. A must play!

Mistake Status: Several found when playing.

The Expendabros

I own this game on Steam.

This basically serves as a proof of concept for Broforce. A free demo of an early beta version if you will. It has it's issues and bugs, most of which were ironed out in the Broforce game. But this is still pretty fun. If you're not sure you'll like Broforce but want to try it, you can download this and play it as a demo to decide. Just know that while this is good, Broforce is a lot better and a finished game.

Mistake Status: I have the one, don't plan to replay this game, honestly.

Pokémon GO

I play this game on my cellphone.

While I wasn't in this game directly at Launch in 2016, I've been playing this game pretty much since it came out, with a couple of caveats there. I started playing it, I think 2 or 3 months after it was released. And then about a year into playing it... there was an update that happened that temporarily ruined it for me. Namely making it so that you could no longer spin poke stops while driving over 20 miles an hour. And they changed the CP of many Pokémon. At that time I had already gotten a sizable collection of Pokémon that were level 64... my favorite number. That update ruined almost that entire collection. So after that happened, I stopped playing the game for almost the entirety of 2017.

However, I did return to it in 2018 and have been playing it almost every day since, even now in 2025... with one exception. In about 2021-2022... my phone was broken and old and couldn't really run it any more. So while I was trying to get a new phone... I went almost that whole year with hardly being able to play it.

anyways, enough of my history of the game. Now to what it's like for me.
I wasn't really allowed to get into Pokémon as a kid. I was watching the show a little bit when it first aired, and I even started getting into the cards. I became a little con artist in elementary school, conning other kids out of their cards... I was a devious little f*cker at times lol. But I didn't have any of the actual Pokémon games with one exception.
See my parents were the type that saw Pokémon as demonic and making kids hyper. Yeah those type of parents. And so they made me stop watching the show, made me burn all my Pokémon cards (and Harry Potter book), and go on to other things... I really got into Digimon around that time.
So the only Pokémon game I had growing up, was Pokémon Snap on the N64. Loved that game, and I was able to get away with it, as "it's just taking pictures of Pokémon, mom!"

So yeah that was my Pokémon experience growing up. What exactly got me to want to play Go when it cameo out in 2016... I can't really remember now. But here I am nearly 10 years later and still playing it almost every day. Stuck at character level 47 due to not being able to complete one of the tasks for level 48, but still going strong.
This and Snap are the only Pokémon games I've played and I enjoy this one. It's one of only two mobile games I've stuck with long term, the other being Sonic Forces Speed Battle.
and the thing is, I'm not really that much of a Pokémon fan... but I still really enjoy this game. And it's kept me returning to it for all this time, so that's something.
i've considered giving it up a few times... but then there's that Sunken Cost fallacy kicking in.
In all honesty, I'll probably continue playing it till they shut the service down. If that ever happens.

I own this movie on VHS and I watched it again on Disney + with my son.

This is easily my favorite animated Disney movie, especially of that era. I was 11 when this came out, just the right age and it always stuck with me. I wish it got more love.
it's fun, it has adventure, it has a great believable villain, great characters, and a deep sense of adventure.

It's also kinda dark and mature for a Disney movie, especially their 2D films or of that era. With some down right almost horror worthy imagery. Yet it is also a beautiful world... and um. A very pretty girl. I mean pretty good! I swim pretty good!

yeah Kida was a big, and still is a big crush for me. In fact this movie is I think in large part why I have such a thing for dark skin girls with white hair. My kryptonite.

and now Atlantis is a major part of my own series I'm writing called Bleeding Edge... and in may ways this film has influenced me on how I see that ancient civilization and how it effects my own universe.
This is a must see Disney movie if you've never given it a shot. This and Treasure Planet are my top two animated Disney films.

Mistake Status: Oh I'd love to tackle this one at some point.

Aladdin (2019)

I watched this movie on Disney +.

This movie didn't need to be made. And if they were gonna make it, they should have done better than this.
This was just another in Disney's line up of soulless live action remakes of their beloved classics. Take everything great about the original. And make it bland.

Will Smith tries his best as Genie here, and honestly he's not terrible in the role. When you have such huge shoes to fill like the ones left behind by Robin Williams. You need to try better than this. Will is just some blue guy, not The Genie.
The guy playing Aladdin is actually pretty good, and I like him. But most of the other actors are meh. And the one other person besides Genie they needed to get right was Jafar. Yet they took one of the most menacing and cool villains from the Disney canon and made him just generic bad guy number 4. The actor playing him has no charisma, and no chemistry with the other actors.

All that said, it's also not terrible. It's better than some of Disney's other live action remakes. Not that that really says much. This falls into the worst place a movie can be. Just middle of the road meh. It's not good or great to be loved, and it's not so bad to be hated or talked about for how bad it is. It's so meh... that you forget about it.
It has just enough to make it not terrible, but not enough to make me want to watch it again. And that's just sad.
it's an invisible 3 stars out of 5.

I used to own this game on the PS2, and I do own it on Steam. Have not played my Steam version yet.

I was always a Nintendo kid growing up. Had almost every Nintendo console, and played it a ton. I did have a PS2, however, and one of the main games that would keep me on my PS2 was GTA San Andreas. I loved this game, and really it's the only GTA game I've honestly played.
Great story, fun characters, and well it's a GTA game in so just fun to cause chaos in the city.
I remember that on my memory card, I had 880 hours on my main save file. I would explore the city, doing all sorts of stuff, finding collectables, doing missions, just dinking around in cop cars or taxis... whatever. I beat the game, but I never did 100% complete it. There was like a few clam shells I never found or something.
I also had a couple other save files, like one where I saved it during the riot time period that way I could just go and play during that at any time without a cheat code. And I had a separate save for using cheat codes to play around with, as I would never use a cheat code on my main save.

I own a lot of the GTA games on Steam at this point, but haven't gotten to them yet. I play to play them, with San Andreas the one I'm most looking forward to revisiting. I'll try to 100% next time to.
Aside from Sonic Riders, this would be my favorite game on the PS2.

Mistake Status: Looks like I have lots already on here from playing it back when, going largely by memory and I think I looked up a few also. If I get around to playing this game again on Steam, I'll probably add more mistakes. And here and there I may look up videos of the game to watch to try and find some screenshots of mistakes I already have on here.

Eternals (2021)

I watched this movie on Disney +.

As of writing this review, I have not yet seen The Marvels, so I can not comment on if The Marvels is worse yet. That said, right now Eternals for me is easily the worst film in the MCU line up, when it comes to theatrical films.
It is uninspired, dull, and gives us a team of characters we have little reason to care about.
It forces the Eternals into the narrative world of the MCU, saying they've always been here but then hand waves them away as not being involved with the other films or stories or the fight against Thanos in the most stupid way that doesn't make sense.

We didn't need these characters, we didn't need this story. And later movies like Brave New World somehow use this film as a way of bringing Adamantium into the MCU.
When these characters die. I don't care. When these characters are fighting... I don't care. When these characters are on screen... I don't care.
Uninteresting, meaningless. And aside from making a set piece appear in Brave New World with said Adamantium being introduced... this seems to have absolutely no impact on the MCU as a greater whole at all. Which makes this the most pointless film in the MCU as well. It adds virtually nothing to the over arching story or universe.

The one cool thing I did get from this, is I watched this movie after I had watched Game of Thrones and the show Humans. So seeing actors from both those shows pop up in this was interesting.
That said... having your only big name actor/star in the main line up of this film being Angelina Jolie, with all the rest being unknowns or just TV stars/actors... that also had to have had a big effect on the box office in a big way.

This is an easy 2 star film, didn't like it at all. For me this is the MCU's worst film. (at least until I see The Marvels)

Mistake Status: I will probably get to it eventually... maybe.

Lightyear (2022)

I watched this movie on Disney +.

This movie doesn't know what it wants to be. And I mean that from a lore perspective. This is supposed to be the movie that Andy watched as a kid in the 90s to have his Buzz Lightyear toy from and be a fan of. Yet it was already established that the cartoon series Buzz Lightyear of Star Command was supposed to be the show that Andy watched and liked the toy from. This film tries retcon that and be that original film. However this fails at feeling like a 90s movie at all. Including injecting modern political propaganda into it. Believe what you will one way or the other on having a lesbian couple have a child in a sci-fi future in modern movies, whatever. But there is absolutely no way that such a thing would have been in a 90s or even late 80s kids film that Andy would have watched.

The plot of the film doesn't make much sense, and it really diminishes Buzz as a hero. He's not an action star like he's supposed to be, kicking but and taking name against alien forces. No he's a guy who fails his mission, gets his whole crew stranded on a planet, then fails multiple attempts at going into light speed where he screws up time and watches everybody he knows die of old age while he continues to fail and fail and fail. Wow, great hero for Andy to look up to there.

Then the twist with Zurg at the end is extremely stupid and opens up so many time traveling plot holes that it would make Doc Brown's head spin.

Then there's the fact they shafted Tim Allen for this film. Sure, Chris Evans actually does a pretty good job in the role all things considered. He even kinda sounds like a younger Tim Allen. But it's not Allen, and he would be your selling point for the film. He's been loved in the role since the 90s and recasting him was one of Disney's biggest mistakes with this movie. That no doubt hurt the film.

in the end, this film bastardizes Toy Story lore, it neuters Buzz as a hero, it tries to force political propaganda in that doesn't fit, it creates gaping time travel plot holes, and it shafted the lead actor who should have voiced Buzz.
it's a bad movie. Easy 2 out of 5 stars.

Mistake Status: I might do it some day. Low priority.

Morbius (2022)

I watched this movie on Disney +.

I finally got around to watching this one yesterday. (8-24-25). Been hearing about it for 3 years now and it was memed not only to hell and back, but memed back into theaters to fail a second time, lmao.

I don't actually know very much about Morbius at all from the comics. In fact I didn't even really know he was a character from Marvel until this movie was announced. I know he appeared in the 90s Spider-man cartoon, but I never saw that whole show, and I was kinda too young to remember that show extremely well from when it was on. I don't think I saw the episode (s) that had Morbius, and if I did. Well I just don't remember it.
That said, I don't hate Jared Leto being cast in that role. He does look the part, I give him that. However the fact that it IS Leto in the role can be distracting. it's sort of one of those strange cases of perfect casting that is also bad casting. I don't know how to explain it. He comes with a lot of baggage, especially after his turn as The Joker and reports of what he did on set of that film. If not for all that... he would be good and looks the part.

Anyways... I went into this film expecting it to be this huge meme worthy dumpster fire of a film that it's reputation had made it out to be. But what I found was just the most meh movie of meh movies. It's not actually terrible. But it is the most mediocre super hero movie ever made. It is super paint by numbers, every beat predictable down to the moment. It feels like they took the formula of late 90s or early 00s super hero movies, made it the most watered down basic version, and slapped a vampire into it. So it's not that it's a bad movie, it's just that it's a mid movie 20 years too late.
Predictable, cliche, dull, bland. It adds nothing new, it plays it totally safe, and an AI could probably write a more interesting script than this. Cause at least the crazy stuff an AI would come up with might be entertaining.

This is just. Meh. And then it just takes itself way too seriously. Pretentious as hell, with Leto acting like he's in a serious period drama or something. The only person in this movie that seems to know what kind of film they are in is Matt Smith. He's at least having fun and amping up the camp. That's what this movie needed really, to get it out of being so dull. It needed to be silly and campy. Turn up the goof factor, lean into it to actually make it interesting. Instead it tries to play like a super serious drama with everything muted. Again Matt Smith is the only person who seems to be having any fun with his part with his character having the camp. Yet his villain is so predictable while at the same time completely one note. There's not really a clear motive for him turning other than "I want to be cured, oh no serum makes me crazy." I never believe for a moment what he wants. And I never buy him and Leto as close friends for a second. They have no chemistry at all as friends.

This movie is the most 3 star super hero movie to ever 3 star... which makes it so dull, predictable and numbing that it becomes 2 star.
It's not entertaining in any way. It's not so horrible you can hate watch it or get angry. It's not fun to watch at all. And it's not even The Room kind of bad where it's so bad it's good. It's just. So middle of the road paint by numbers that it's bad by default.

Mistake Status: I'll get to it eventually.

TMNT (2007)

I own this movie on DVD.

I always felt this movie was an under appreciated gem of the TMNT series.
As far as the theatrically released films, this is easily in the top 3. I admit, it's been a few years since I've watched it or the 90s trilogy. Last time I watched them was with my son about... 2 or 3 years ago I think. Give or take, so I am overdue for a rewatch. So I can't remember if I like this one more than the first two live action movies or not.
When it comes to other films though I love the Turtles Forever TV movie and the Batman vs the TMNT DVD movie way up there also, but those were not theatrical releases.

TMNT 2007 is an interesting and odd blend of continuities and series. It is written in such a way that it was intended to be a sort of 4th film in the 90s live action trilogy, a coda or epilog years later. However it doesn't strictly fit in that continuity either. It also borrows a lot of elements and plot lines from the 2003 cartoon series, but it also doesn't exactly fit in that continuity either.
I've always seen this film as sort of being a blending and bridge continuity mixing the 90s films with the 2003 series. It can count as being in either or both series, or even it's own thing. The Turtles Forever movie even showed this as being it's own universe.
So where you feel it lines up best would be up to you. I like to think of it as a soft continuity bridge between the 90s movies and the 03 series.

As for this film itself, I really love it. I've always been a huge TMNT fan, and this movie came out just a couple months before I turned 17. And having grown up with the turtles myself, it was the perfect time to see a slightly more mature and older take on the Turtles that was about my age at the time.
it follows softly where the turtles are in life after the events of the 90s trilogy, with Shredder long defeated and gone. Taking up a showcase of. Well where are they now? What are they doing? Testing their loyalty as brothers, figuring out how the turtles try to find jobs, and maturity of them becoming adults.
As well as introducing new antagonist, well new to this movie. Karai would already be familiar to you if you have watched the 2003 series, and this brings her into the 90s continuity. Hence what I mean about it seems to blend both series.
The other big bad though, is new to this film... and voiced by Patrick Stewart!

The heart of the movie, however, is the conflict between Leo and Raph. But I don't want to give too much away about that. Usually I don't bother with spoiler warnings much in these reviews, but I can't really get into Leo and Raph in this without spoiling a big part of the film.
Do check this out. If you're a fan of the 90s movies, this is serves as a 4th film in that series. If you like the 2003 series, this is sort of a pseudo side story during Season 4 of that show. Or if you're just a TMNT fan in general, do give this a shot!
This is easily the 3rd best theatrically released Turtles movie to date, and maybe the second best depending on how you feel about the second 90s film. Which I also think is underrated.

Mistake Status: On yeah I plan to do the entire TMNT franchise, starting soon. I have the 90s movies and this in a box set together. I have the full box sets of the 87, 97, 03, and 2012 series. And I think I have one of the Bay films on DVD also but I do need to actually acquire those. So yeah, as a huge Turtles fan, I will be diving into the franchise for mistakes very soon. The main question. Where to start?

I used to own this game on the GBA.

Now this is a great game. I used to spend hours and hours playing the Megaman Battle Network series on my GBA, but this was one of the few games that could pull me away from that series.
It's the 3rd Zelda game, original made for the SNES, but I had it on my Advanced. It was a much needed evolution of the series into the next generation and far more polished and complete of a game than Zelda 1.
Gripping story, great character, fun puzzles, great dungeons. While Zelda 1 lay the foundation, Zelda 2 tried to shake things up, Zelda 3 hit the ground running and firmly established what the series would be. I would say the first perfect game in the series.

It wasn't my first Zelda game, but still one of my greats. It is one of 3 Zelda games I have beaten, and one of two that I have fully 100% completed. The others being OoT (like 98% complete) and Majoras mask which I did complete.

A Link to the Past is one of those milestone games for the history of gaming. Funny is that OoT is almost a soft remake of this one also.

If you're a Zelda fan this is a must, and definitely up there on the Zelda Rushmore.

Mistake Status: N/A. All my GBA games were stolen years ago.

I own this trilogy box set on DVD.

Freaking hell... in a movie series that already started out meh with the first film, they reallt jumped the shark with this one.

The first film, was OK at best. I don't understand the hype around it but I cat at least see how people like it. But it should have been a one and done. Kill the fisherman at the end and be done with it. But no they had to go and try to milk it more thinking they had some hit new Friday the 13th on their hands when it was just a fluke.

Part 2 was boring, dull, meandering and worse than the first. Part 1, 3 stars. Part 2... 2 stars.

Part 3 is an easy 1 out of 5 stars. For I hated it.
It's one of the worst movies I've ever seen, right up there with Transformers: The Last Knight, War of the Worlds 2025, Future War, and Doom: Annihilation.
And I couldn't even finish the film. I think I got about 30-45 minutes into it at best, and turned it off.

The acting is atrocious, none of the characters are likable, the plot is absurd. The special effects are trash.

And then they had to go and try to make the Fisherman supernatural this time. A sort of water zombie like Jason Vorhees and it didn't need that. Everything about this movie is terrible.
I don't know if this movie was a direct to video release or not, but it is worse than most of those. Even Asylum films are better than this!

Trash in every sense of the word. Bad bad bad bad bad.

Mistake status: ugh. I might do this series at some point. But that means actually watching and finishing this movie. And then picking it apart frame by frame. Not sure I want to bother with it.

I own the box set of this trilogy on DVD.

This movie is terrible.
I didn't get the hype for the first one, but at least it was a decent film. A 3 star movie, maybe 2.5 stars.
The follow should not have been made. The acting is worse, the plot and story is worse. The killer is stupid and shouldn't have survived part 1.
Its everything about the first movie, but stuck on an island and made bad.

This sequel should not have been made, the first one was OK as a one and done.
On fact, this movie sort of makes the first one worse.
2 of 5 stars. Did not like it... but yet it's still better than part 3, holy crap.

Mistake status: I might do this series at some point since I have the DVDs.

I own this movie series box set on DVD.

For years I had heard about this movie being up there in the echelons of slasher films. That it was supposed to be really good and all that.

Now that I've seen it... its just meh.me.
Kinda boring, the plot was stupid and the acting bad. It at least entertained me a little, but it felt very paint by numbers slasher horror.
I don't get the hype for this franchise. But at least its not as bad as the sequels...
Really not much else I can say. I almost give it 2 stars, but its like a 2.5 out of 5. And I want it to stand out from the sequels which are way worse.
This movie should have been a one and done.

Mistake status: I might do this trilogy at some point.

Humans (2015)

I watched this show on Amazon Prime.

Now here's a show that had a lot of promise starting out, but then went down hill at the end. This was a show my dad was interested in, as he deals with a lot of robots and artificial intelligence in the book series he's writing and how robots are trying to be and feel more human. So naturally when he heard about this show, he wanted to watch it and we decided to watch it together.
Was really good at the start, and the first two seasons solid writing and acting.
Season 3 though. It tanked. And the ending was disappointing. It's been several years now since I watched this series so I can't remember the details specifically, but yeah. If the third season was as good as the first two, I'd say it's a solid 4, maybe even 4.5 starts out of 5. But season 3 and the ending really ruined that so it goes down to 3 stars. It's just OK.
If you like some hard sci-fi about robots and AI. You would probably like this. Just be warned you may not like how it ends.

Mistake Status: I kinda wanna do this one. But there's other shows I wanna do first and this would be very low priority, so I may never get to it.
