Question: I'm not a medical expert, but surely the level of bone loss shown in the movie would make it impossible for any of the humans to support their own weight?

Chosen answer: The level of medicinal care allowed a string of captains to live well into their 130s. Preventing or reversing bone loss seems like a trivial task compared to that.
