Trivia: When this series first went into production, Karen and Foggy were not included, and Vanessa Fisk was played by Sandrine Holt. When Marvel decided to retool the series, Deborah Ann Woll and Elden Henson were brought back to play Karen and Foggy, and Ayelet Zurer was reinstated as Vanessa. Wilson Bethel was also brought back to play Bullseye.

Trivia: The subplot with various crooked cops appropriating the Punisher's skull symbol is a reference to the fact that police officers in the real world have co-opted the Punisher's logo with the "thin blue line" U.S. flag, despite the fact that the Punisher is a murderous outlaw.

Trivia: This series was roughly halfway through filming its 18 planned episodes when Marvel suddenly scrapped it and decided to start over and have just 9 episodes and hire a showrunner (a first for a Marvel Disney+ series). Reportedly, the original writing had a very legal procedural format, and Matt Murdock didn't even suit up as Daredevil until the 4th episode. In the process of revamping the series, Marvel decided to officially make the original Netflix show canon to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Trivia: In preparation for his return as The Punisher, Jon Bernthal did some weapons training alongside Thomas Jane, who played The Punisher in the 2004 film.
