Saw (2004)

Continuity mistake: Adam grabs the bat with both hands right after he sees the laughing doll in his apartment (the view is from behind him). The very next shot shows the front of him, but he has the bat in one hand, and the camera in the other. (01:07:10)

Saw III (2006)

Continuity mistake: The tear in Jeff's face (after he gets stuck to the refrigeration machine) continually changes throughout the movie. It goes from oozing and bloody, to clean and almost normal looking several different times. There's no blood on his bathrobe, so he didn't wipe it off that way. That's a big enough tear to bleed a decent amount, so we'd see the blood if he wiped it off. (00:52:35)

Saw III (2006)

Continuity mistake: Matthews is in the bathroom and gets the saw, he shines the light over and sees the severed foot on the other side of the room. He shines the light down to his foot, then he holds the flashlight in his mouth while he yanks his sock off. The next shot (which is a direct cut, you can tell by his sobs) has the flashlight suddenly on the floor and already pointing at his foot while he's stuffing the sock in his mouth to muffle his screams. Saw III (2006)

Continuity mistake: The glowing "X" on the bathroom wall in the first Saw movie was very symmetrical, and the whole thing was filled in very well. During the Saw III bathroom flashback scene, when Jigsaw paints the "X" it's completely different that the one that shows up in Saw. It's not symmetrical at all, and the paint doesn't go on very thick at all. You can easily still see the wall behind the paint, but in Saw, the lines of the "X" are very full with no gaps.

Saw III (2006)

Continuity mistake: The placement of the flashlight (or foot) moves between shots of Detective Matthews contemplating sawing through his leg. In one shot the flashlight is illuminating the ball of his foot, in the next it's pointed past his foot, then in the next shot it's shining right on his heel. Matthews isn't moving either, he sitting right there with the saw on his leg, crying and contemplating all the pain that he's about to inflict on himself. (00:02:30)

Saw III (2006)

Continuity mistake: Watch the light when Matthews is breaking the bone so that he can slide his foot out of the lock (right after he's done smashing it with the lid). The flashlight is suppose to be on the floor next to the foot (it was in the previous shot) but the light source is moving all around as he places his hands on his foot and then breaks it. It's very noticeable as soon as the break happens, the light source moves down and to the left of the screen. The flashlight is back on the ground, next to the foot, in the very next shot. Saw III (2006)

Continuity mistake: When Matthews is smashing his foot with the toilet bowl lid, he probably hits his foot a good six or seven times, and one of the times he also glances against the flashlight and it rolls a bit to the side. The next time you see the flashlight it's pointed right back at his foot like it was in the previous shots. (He was still pounding away on his foot, so he didn't stop and realign it or anything.) Saw III (2006)

Continuity mistake: There is a closeup shot of Matthew's foot right before he starts to smash it with the broken piece of the toilet bowl lid. He's placing the flashlight on the floor next to his foot and you can see that the sock is back on his foot, even though he took it off previously (right before he first attempted to saw through his leg). Saw III (2006)

Continuity mistake: In the "Twisting Crucifix" device scene the tear on the man's face jumps from his right eye, to his left, then disappears, then reappears again throughout the shots.

We Are Marshall (2006)

Continuity mistake: The chalk marks on the football disappear between shots when the coaches are discussing how they need to simplify the offense. The coach wipes the chalk board off with his hands, the grabs the football. The chalk marks are there for a while, but then he throws the ball to the assistant coach and the chalk marks are suddenly gone.

Saw III (2006)

Continuity mistake: The drill that Lynn uses on Jigsaw's skull has a white piece of tape on the end of the drill bit a short distance from the end, presumably to mark the thickness of his skull so she knows where to stop. In one shot (during the drilling scene) the piece of tape moves a good two inches farther up on the drill bit, but it's back down in the very next shot. (01:04:05)

Continuity mistake: When the group is standing outside the building where they found Jedidiah, he says that the sheriff is getting drunk. Morgan starts to say something, and his arms are by his side. The shot instantly switches to in front of him (in the middle of his sentence, so no time passes) and you can see that his arms are crossed in front of him. You can't see his hands, but you can tell by his shoulders (and the parts of his arms that you can see) that his arms are crossed. He had no time to raise his arms and cross them. (00:24:45)

Continuity mistake: There is a shot of the girl right before she reaches into her dress and pulls out the gun. The shot is looking from her right side and you can see a lot of blood on her left leg. The shot switches to in front of her and she reaches for the gun, but there's no blood on her leg. The shot switches again, and the blood is back. This happens a few times during the scene. Clerks 2 (2006)

Continuity mistake: You can't even see inside because of all the smoke (fog) when Dante pulls up to Moobies after he went looking for Becky. But 90% of the smoke (fog) is gone as soon as he walks in the door. You can *easily* see outside the windows in the rest of the shots. There's not nearly enough time for the smoke (fog) to evaporate.

Continuity mistake: There is a shot of Trish's hand on Andy's shoulder and her other one in her lap when they are talking about selling his action figures on eBay. The camera switches to an over-the-shoulder shot of her and both hands are in her lap. The view switches instantly, so there's no time for her to move her hand.

Clerks 2 (2006)

Continuity mistake: Becky is holding the bottle of nail polish by the sides of the lid, bottle parallel to her hand, when she first holds it out to Dante (over her shoulder shot). The next shot is from in front of her and she's holding it by the very top of the lid, hand above the bottle. It's a quick shot change and she doesn't have enough time to re-position her grip, yet she does, and she didn't just rotate her hand, her fingers move a good inch up the side of the lid.

Clerks 2 (2006)

Continuity mistake: Becky's bra strap and shirt strap gap in the front and meet in the back during the scene where she's asking Dante if he's afraid to get married (most easily viewed during the over-her-shoulder shots). The straps align and are on top of each other when she leans forward when Dante tells her that he can't dance. All subsequent over-her-shoulder shots still have the straps in the same position as before she leaned forward.

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest mistake picture

Continuity mistake: When William is talking to Cutler Beckett after being arrested, a fishing ship is seen out on the ocean, not moving. In the next shot, the ship has disappeared. (00:10:20)

Continuity mistake: When they bring coffee to the brothers in the police station, one of the guys holds up the tray and there are three cups visible. The brothers take two and walk away. The next shot is from in front of the brothers, where you can see, over their shoulder, that there is no one holding up the coffee tray. The next shot is of the group again, and the tray is back to being held up.
