Continuity mistake: There is a multicolored bag on the floor, to the left of Dorothy, when they're speaking to the Wizard and he says, "Anybody can have a brain" that was not there when she pulled the curtain open. (01:29:25)

Visible crew/equipment: After they meet the cowardly lion and all four go off dancing and singing "We're Off to See the Wizard" a stage light flickers in the upper left background. (00:52:55)

Continuity mistake: As the Wicked Witch is melting the peak of her hat stays intact. In the very next shot it has been flattened. (01:26:45)

Continuity mistake: When the Wicked Witch tells Nikko "throw that basket in the river and drown him" The basket with Toto in it moves from one shot to the other in its position to the hourglass. (00:16:45)

Continuity mistake: Dorothy sloppily puts some oil in the shoulder joint and in front of the elbow of the Tin Man after he does his song and dance "If I only had a heart". In the next shot it's gone. (00:45:30)

Revealing mistake: As the Tin Man busts down the Witch's door with his ax if you look closely you'll see a slight edit in the film right before he takes his last swing. What they did was unlock the door before the last swing so it would open. You can see the dead bolt retracted as the door swings open. (01:23:50)

Continuity mistake: The Witches bronze astro globe moves from the window sill in different shots of her castle office. (01:16:10 - 01:18:35)

Continuity mistake: In the scene when they discover the Wizard behind the curtain there is a change in the equipment on his wall. At first the big lit up gauge thing with the two levers above it is lit, about a minute later when the Scarecrow gets his diploma the angle has changed and the gauge thing is dark. (01:28:55 - 01:29:55)

Continuity mistake: At the Witch's door the Tin Man is not the wearing his metal suit underneath the guards clothing. Look at his waist. (01:23:30)

Continuity mistake: When the Wicked Witch tells Nikko "throw that basket in the river and drown him" his feet can be seen resting near her book of spells. In the next shot we see the book of spells back where it originally was to the right of the lamp. (01:16:40)

Audio problem: Inside the Emerald City Dorothy says "Can you even dye my eyes to match my gown?" Both the girl on the left and right reply but you only hear one voice speak. (01:01:35)

Revealing mistake: After the doorman tells the four they can't go see the wizard he returns back into the palace and you can see his shadow where it shouldn't be against the painted backdrop wall inside the door on the left. (01:07:25)

Revealing mistake: As the Wicked Witch chases the four yelling "Seize them," they run around what looks like a concrete pillar. If you look closely it's covered with cloth that moves as they run by. (01:25:00)

Continuity mistake: The broom that Dorothy gives to the Wizard has never been on fire and the end has been trimmed neatly. (01:28:00)
