Major League (1989)

Corrected entry: During the Oakland game (where Dorn tanks the ball), Taylor visits Vaughn on the mound. The home plate umpire is seen cleaning off the plate. Taylor returns to his position, inadvertently kicking enough dirt onto the plate to keep the umpire from seeing the edges. The umpire doesn't call time to clean it off, as evidenced by the plate still being dirty when the Oakland batter pops out to Taylor to end the game. (00:54:40 - 00:55:20)

Correction: This is a mistake made by the umpire, not a movie mistake.

Superman (1978)

Corrected entry: When Superman saves the train from derailing during the earthquake, he places his body between the tracks, hold up one rail with his right hand, and uses his left arm and side as the other rail. But even Superman can't change physics. Train wheels have a flange that goes on the inside of the rail to keep it from slipping off the rail. (Go look at your model train set). Since Superman is indestructible, this flange would hit him and derail the train (Perhaps this is why he ducks his head).

Correction: And when he grabs the plane to help it fly, he would punch right through the skin. And, and, and... Every single thing he does in the movie is against the laws of our reality, but some leeway has to be given for movies like this.

Corrected entry: How does Doc know that lightning will hit the clock tower at precisely 10:04:00? Since the minute hand only advances once a minute, it's possible that the clock was struck anytime between 10:04:00 and 10:04:59.

StevenJ

Correction: Actually the gears inside the clock tower would tell you how many seconds had passed, so assuming that the story about the clock tower was researched correctly they would be certain that the bolt hit at 10:04 precisely.

Corrected entry: When searching the crew quarters, a magnetic boot is found in Dax's locker. The locker door either shows damage in the paint when the scene had to be re-shot or it's the device to hang a non-magnetic boot onto a non-metal door. This is evident both when Valeris hangs the boot on the door and when Chekov removes it later on. (01:10:25)

StevenJ

Correction: It is someone's locker that is probably opened/closed 3 or 4 times a day. It is bound to show some wear and tear.

Skin of Evil - S1-E23

Corrected entry: When Riker is dragged into the pool of goo, his head reappears for just a moment, then is pulled back into the pool. Note that his mouth is open and fills with goo, but his mouth is above the surface. Obviously this is a mask that is pulled under.

StevenJ

Correction: The pool of goo is a living, shape shifting entity called Armus. If Armus wanted to only partially fill Riker's mouth with some of himself, it surely would have been in his power.
