Peter Vanicelli

Corrected entry: The US Army loaned several UH-60 Blackhawk helicopters for the rescue scene at the end, prompting the Canadian authorities to reassure the people of Montreal that they weren't being invaded by America.

Peter Vanicelli

Correction: I live in Montreal and that never happened. We have a military base and a helicopter plant here and we constantly see military helicopters overhead.

Corrected entry: During the airline scene (when Sam is consuming all the peanuts) the head flight attendant rushes forward and closes a curtain. However, if this is supposed to be post-9/11 film, there should be no curtains on board the plane. Curtains were removed for the sake of security after 9/11.

Peter Vanicelli

Correction: Not true. Since 9/11 and many airlines still do have curtains, especially separating the galley from the rest of the plane.

Man of the House (2005)

Corrected entry: In the scene where the Ford SUV crashes into the delivery truck, it is very obvious that the airbags have not deployed. In a front end crash of that velocity, there is no way the airbags wouldn't have deployed.

Peter Vanicelli

Correction: The SUV in question was a ford Bronco which more than likely didn't have air bags because it did look like the older style bronco II.

Hitch (2005)

Corrected entry: Taxis in New York City must be free, because there are several scenes (such as the scene with Kevin James running back and forth between the taxi and Allegra's car) where the characters get out of their taxi's without enough time to pay the fare.

Peter Vanicelli

Correction: Most cab drivers in NYC know the apporx amount of a fare. If you ask they will tell you and you can pay them almost immediately after getting in. When you factor in tip its a matter of handing them a bill (or two). It is possible to pay them before getting out of the cab, this is great if you are in a hurry. You can see the meter the whole time anyway, so if the meter's on $7 30 seconds before you arrive, it's easy to take out $10, hand it to the driver and get out.

Serrabowler

Corrected entry: In the airplane scene, as the flight attendant is sitting down, we can see there is no first class section on the plane. (00:17:25)

Peter Vanicelli

Correction: Not every plane has first class.

Hitch (2005)

Corrected entry: If you pay close attention to the kind of knot Max uses to tie his tie, you'll notice that it is a four-in-hand knot, which is the most common (and most informal) kind of knot for a tie. As a business man, and especially an editor, why would he choose such an informal knot?

Peter Vanicelli

Correction: This is not a movie-making mistake. It's a character preference. Who says he doesn't just prefer that kind of knot?

Hitch (2005)

Corrected entry: When Hitch closes the taxi door after Sara gets in following their first date, his shirt gets stuck in the door and tears as he tries to free himself. Later on in the film, Sara calls him and tells him she has his shirt. When we see the shirt, it's all in one piece with no evidence of being torn.

Peter Vanicelli

Correction: In the scene where she gives him the shirt back, it never specifies whether or not the shirt was in one piece or not. It's tough to tell considering the shirt was in a plastic bag.

Correction: While running down the stairs, Raoul steps on a trap door and falls through it into the water, which is below the grate.

Spider-Man 2 (2004)

Corrected entry: At the beginning of the film, when Peter Parker is late delivering the Pizzas, but right before he changes into Spider-Man, he gets caught at a light changing from green to red, and right after this change a city bus goes speeding by. If the light just changed, how could the bus be going that fast when the light just changed?

Peter Vanicelli

Correction: The approach to the intersection most likely was clear (for the bus driver) at the time the lights changed. Many bus drivers have the exact same route everyday, it quite possible the driver knew the signal sequence well. He may have timed his driving just right so he would not have to stop at the lights. (i.e he just cruises towards the intersection and waited for the right time to accelerate).

XIII

Corrected entry: When Christine is singing "Think of me" and the camera view changes to show her in full costume later that night, it is quite obvious that there are stage lights (aka spotlights) shining on her. However, at the beginning of the film, we are told that the chandelier has been fitted with the "new electric light." If electric lights were new in the early 1900's, then they could not have been in use in 1870.

Peter Vanicelli

Correction: As could be seen during the transformation scene earlier (old to new), those aren't spotlights, but theatre lights, using candles/gaslight and reflectors.
