Continuity mistake: When Gertie places a pot of wilting flowers onto the Radio Flyer wagon, an 'enter' sign can be seen on Elliott's bedroom door with a handwritten paper saying 'do not' taped upon it. After she knocks, Mike opens the door to let her in - but the 'do not' paper is now tucked behind the 'enter' sign instead. (00:37:00)

Continuity mistake: When E.T. is in the kitchen reading comics, he glances over at the TV then takes a look at the coffee table which has, among other items scattered on top, six pack rings. A few shots later E.T. is at the coffee table working to create a communication device, but now there's one can of beer attached to the rings. (00:48:05)

Continuity mistake: In the scene where Fievel walks in on a group of cats playing cards, Tiger slaps down his hand and yells "Rummy!" But once he gathers the cards and holds them up again, there's a 3 of Diamonds visible - which wasn't part of the original hand to begin with. (00:50:00)

Continuity mistake: When Mike and his friends are playing Dungeons and Dragons, Greg is on the phone requesting "Papa Oom Mow Mow." Towards the end of his call, Greg repeats the song's name twice. Look over Elliott's right shoulder in the next shot where he asks Steve's permission to join in: the phone is on the hook, but Greg is still talking to the DJ somehow. (00:08:45)

Continuity mistake: When Mike reaches the playground in a stolen van, his friends are there waiting with bikes. On the right we see Greg wearing sunglasses, a red cap and headphones. But in the next shot where they approach the van's rear doors, Greg is suddenly missing his sunglasses. (01:38:55)

Continuity mistake: After Mike finds E.T. lying in a river, the scene switches over to an FBI agent's shadow cast upon the driveway at Elliott's house. Notice how the front doors are bare. Minutes later when Mike opens one of the doors to see an astronaut waiting outside, large Halloween decorations are now tacked upon it. (01:15:20)

Continuity mistake: When Pee-Wee is on the roadside trying to hitch a ride to Texas, the sun casts a shadow behind him which is mostly parallel to the road. But in the subsequent shots of oncoming cars, the sun is casting a long shadow on each one's passenger side - obviously implying a different time of day. (00:33:00)

Continuity mistake: When Mary gets her first look at an ailing E.T. lying on the bathroom floor, she panics then hurries everyone downstairs - leaving E.T. behind. Moments later one of the astronauts happens upon E.T. and now a bright pink bath towel can be seen draped over the bathtub's edge, which wasn't even there to begin with. (01:16:00 - 01:17:55)

Continuity mistake: In the first shot of Mike barreling downhill with the van, he passes by a group of three onlookers. But after Elliott figures out how to disconnect the plastic tube and lose the two men struggling within it, an overhead shot of the neighborhood shows Mike driving past the same group of people yet again (note the orange winter hat and black & white striped jacket worn by the kids). Continuity mistake: When Murtaugh starts questioning Alfred about the suspicious man he saw near Dixie's house, Alfred lifts up his sunglasses. Through a few questions, the glasses' ear stem rests normally behind his ear where it should (left one is visible). Suddenly Murtaugh asks about the man's hair color, but now the ear stem is hanging off. (01:09:40)

Continuity mistake: When Alvin starts dialing the number to Dave's hotel in Paris, there are 16 buttons on the pad (far too many for a standard phone). But right before the scene changes over to a snoring Dave, his phone now appears with the normal 12 buttons. (00:10:05)

Continuity mistake: When Dark Heart is first shown pretending to fix the caring meter with a crowbar, he stands near it and hums to himself. In the next shot where he busts the gears apart, several colored star buddies gather around to look over his shoulder - but instead he's now working inside the meter. (00:31:55)

Continuity mistake: When Good Luck Bear and Grumpy are finalizing the rainbow rescue beam's repairs, a cloud quake splits the Hall of Hearts' floor in two. All of the floor tiles switch direction in this shot, but they quickly return to normal as the bears reach over to save their tools. (00:58:45)

Continuity mistake: When the secret weapon is released from Professor Digitalus' Museum, it demolishes the door and scares every cat onto the Star of Hong Kong's anchor. Just a few minutes later, Fievel can be seen passed out on an eyehook in the vacant museum. That's where a flame ignites a trail of kerosene, but when it soon becomes a full-blown fire, the door is once again intact (locks, chains and all) as though nothing happened. (01:03:10 - 01:05:55)

Continuity mistake: During Nicholas' final confrontation with the Care Bears, he repeatedly asks for Kim and Jason's whereabouts - but they won't give it away. Suddenly they all execute a stare and, in one of the following shots where the evil spirit whispers "Too late," Nicholas is briefly missing his magician's cape. (01:02:20)

Continuity mistake: When Riggs jumps from Murtaugh's station wagon to catch up with the BMW on foot, he springs onto its rear window and asks the driver for proof of insurance. Interior brake lights are shining on his clothes before he falls to the pavement. Seconds later the driver stops to take a shot at Riggs, but now the BMW is missing the interior brake light altogether. (00:03:40)

Continuity mistake: When Miss Miller is pulling items of food from a cabinet, the Chipmunks are busy having breakfast. There is a carton of milk on the table right between Alvin and Simon's bowls of cereal. But after a shot of Theodore indulging in his meal, the milk carton is gone. Now Alvin and Simon have two glasses of milk instead, and who knows how they got there because Miss Miller was too busy talking to herself on the other end of the kitchen. (00:11:50)

Continuity mistake: During a chase scene involving Murtaugh's station wagon and a flatbed tow truck, the hotel waiter shoots at Riggs through the truck's rear window. In this series of shots, notice how Riggs is swinging by a chrome handle on the passenger's side - which wasn't there during the gunpoint hijack shot just moments ago. (00:39:30 - 00:40:45)

Continuity mistake: After Riggs' Houdini-esque underwater escape, he makes his way to the pair of hitmen on the docks above. One of them gets thrown through a car door's glass window, and Riggs uses that same door to bash his head repeatedly. As Riggs is dealing the blows, pay attention during the close-up shots and you'll see reflections in a brand new piece of glass. (01:32:50)
