Monster a-Go Go (1965)

Factual error: The crashed US spacecraft from which the monster emerges is obviously much too small to have carried a human being into space.

Other mistake: In the credits, the name of the lead character, Reed Buccholz (pronounced as "Buckles"), played by Alex Erkiletian, is listed as 'Reed Bucchoiz'.

Trivia: As well the other "based on" entry, this is based on Packer's tales of the trip - tales that he would tell frequently changed in the re-telling. Also based, in large part, on Homer's "Odyssey", even including a cyclops.

The Toxic Avenger (1984)

Trivia: In this film the title character is never referred to as "The Toxic Avenger"; he is only referred to as "Monster Hero." In his first book, "All I Needed To Know About Filmmaking I Learned From The Toxic Avenger," the director Lloyd Kaufman revealed that the reason for this was because the working title of the movie was "The Monster Hero," and that the change to the title "The Toxic Avenger" only occurred at the "last minute." The character was consistently referred to as Toxic Avenger, or Toxie, throughout this movie's three sequels: "The Toxic Avenger II," "The Toxic Avenger III: The Last Temptation of Toxie," and "The Toxic Avenger IV: Citizen Toxie."

Factual error: Since this film serial was made in the early 1950s there are many scientific inaccuracies about the moon in it, not the least of which is that, according to the story, the moon has exactly the same gravitational pull as Earth.

Re-Animator (1985)

Trivia: Based only very loosely on the story "Herbert West: Reanimator" by H.P. Lovecraft, taking great liberties with the original story. This was, reportedly, one of Lovecraft's least favorite among his stories, one that he only wrote in order to "pay the bills."
