General questions

I'm looking for the name of a movie that, forgive me it's all I can remember, a horse being divided by several sheets of glass which spread apart and the horse is still alive. Does anyone have any ideas?

General questions

Trying to remember a movie, hope you can help. I only ever saw the movie on TV, I believe in the 80s, it was usually showing on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon. Set in a huge mansion with very ornate decor (lots of wood, chandeliers and thick carpeting). Guests who are very peculiar have been invited for an overnight dinner. I don't think they know who invited them. They arrive two by two, couples or maybe even a mother/daughter, and they settle into their individual rooms. House may be haunted but it's not scary at all, more of a dark comedy. It's not until dinner they see who the host is. The characters are very over the top, odd and exaggerated. They might even be thinking someone is going to murder them, or someone was murdered and they don't know who it was (this is only a vague recollection, might not be right). I believe the entire movie takes place over just one evening. I can't think of anything else that sticks out and I can't remember anyone who's in it. I think it was really long but that may just be my memory of it. Don't know if any of this can help name the movie.

Answer: It might be Clue, with (among others) Tim Curry, although "Murder by Death" is also similar.

Why are there no images of the french film actress Cecil Aubrey available anywhere?

Answer: It's because her name is spelled Cécile Aubry. Plenty available if you search by that name.

General questions

I am trying to identify the title of a film. The film ends with a climactic battle between archers and armored soldiers. The soldiers are in a field with shields held over their heads to protect against volleys of arrows. The archers then begin firing horizontally, taking out the ever-dwindling soldiers until all are dead. I remember it as being a B&W film, but I could be wrong. I do know it is quite old, 1960's or before.

Answer: It could be "The 300 Spartans." See http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0055719/.

General questions

I remember seeing this movie in the early-to-mid 90s. I can't remember too much, but I will do my best. I remember a young teenage boy and a blue and white ancient stamp of something nautical - either a boat or a sailor-type boy with a spy glass or something along those lines. The stamp was very important and worth a lot of money, and, I believe, had something to do with this boy's dead grandfather. I also think if there was a boy in the stamp it may have looked like the boy in the movie. Maybe that was what the big adventure (aka the plot) was over? This is where I may just be speculating: The boy also had an older brother and his friends who, I think, got involved with the boy in some search for the stamp. I remember images of the end pretty well - the boy pastes or find the stamp in a "stamp book". Then someone from the beginning of the film steals something or runs off and everyone has to chase him. I just remember the line "He's had a relapse." and someone answers "What's a relapse?" And that's how it ends. This is so far fetched, but it would make my existence if someone knew what in the hell I was talking about. THANKS.

Answer: Tommy Tricker and the Stamp Travellers, with Lucas Evans and Anthony Rogers. There is also a sequel, The Return of Tommy Tricker.
