Continuity mistake: When Mrs. Peel and Steed are playing chess, some pieces are on the wrong squares.

The Avengers (1998)
Directed by: Jeremiah S. Chechik
Starring: Ralph Fiennes, Sean Connery, Uma Thurman, Patrick Macnee
Revealing mistake: In his castle, Sir August de Winter has a world globe with Newfoundland mentioned twice.
Continuity mistake: Sir August DeWinter confronts an assembled United Nations Council (or something like it) and makes his demands for money. To prove his power, he unleashes a blizzard on the building. Unfortunately, the Council room has giant windows, and when we look outside, we can clearly see that it is a sunny day with emerald green trees.
Trivia: Invisible Jones is voiced by Patrick Macnee, the original John Steed from the TV series, in a cameo role.
Trivia: The moves in the chess match between Emma Peel and John Steed are the same in the match between Roy Batty and Tyrell in the 1982 film "Blade Runner".
Trivia: "Bailey", Eddie Izzard's character, speaks only once in the entire film.
Bailey: Oh, fuck.
Emma Peel: I suppose Mother warned you about women like me?
John Steed: Until now, I didn't know there were women like you.
John Steed: So much for science, I'll stick to swordplay.
