Early Edition

Home Groan - S3-E21

Continuity mistake: In episode 3-10, Gary's mother Lois is the victim of fraud. He mistakes his mother as a shooter of the conman. The headline specifically states the shooter is an Illinois woman. However in this episode convicts escape to Gary's hometown of Hickory, Indiana. The episode depicts his parents residing there, as though they have always been there.

Chuck: Some dances you sit out. Others, you change partners. The important thing is, you never stop dancing.

Gary Hobson: Sometimes that's all a hero is, Chuck - the guy who's there.

Gary: Opportunity doesn't knock, it presents itself when you beat down the door.

Answer: No reason is given.

Question: Why did this episode air here and not for the season finale? "Early Edition" was not cancelled until AFTER the season's last episode, episode 22, aired. However this episode is meant to be the season finale (which only ended up being the series finale when the show wasn't renewed). So why/how was it aired out of order? There's one claim, with no documented source, that it was done by accident. Is this true?

Question: If Gary can read tomorrow newspaper today since early 6:30am, why does it seems most of the rescues he does that he is running late? He should be there early enough.

Answer: He only runs late when the newspaper headline changes unexpectedly. If a headline reads, "Man hit by car," It could change to "Woman hit by car." He stopped the individual from getting hurt, but not the event itself.
