Continuity mistake: I don't think it's quite a mistake, but in almost every scene with Madonna, she has a mysterious shadow over her forehead. In full shots, no shadow, but when they cut to her close-up, there it is. It's more annoying than anything else (aside from her acting).
The Next Best Thing (2000)
Directed by: John Schlesinger
Starring: Rupert Everett, Benjamin Bratt, Neil Patrick Harris, Madonna, Michael Vartan, Illeana Douglas
Continuity mistake: Towards the end of the movie when Madonna and the new bloke are driving off with the son looking back at Rupert Evertt, Madonna's seat has the head rest on. However, next scene when Madonna looks back at her son through the rear view mirror, the head rest is not there.
Continuity mistake: In the scene where Madonna is in the diner having lunch, she is checking her calendar (figuring if she is pregnant). When the shot is facing her, she is holding the hamburger in her hand, but when the shot is facing her friend, from behind Madonna, the hamburger is on the plate.
Ben: Are you gay, or are you just acting gay?
Robert: Well, that depends, are you interested are are you just acting interested?
Robert: What? Eight martinis and you're stuffed?
Abbie: Yep.
Robert: Well, it doesn't take much to crack your egg, does it?
Abbie: I have something to tell you.
Robert: Is it bigger than a breadbox?
Abbie: Heh, not yet.
