Continuity mistake: When Jim Carrey is driving off to go jogging after an "all-nighter," he's saying goodbye to his friends in the car. The male nurse turns to see Jim. In the next shot, he turns to see him again.

Revealing mistake: When Carl and Allison are hugging in the barn scene, you can see how the rain making equipment is forming a rain ring on the ground outside the barn door.

Trivia: Danny Wallace, on whose book the film was very-loosely based, appears in the Hen Night party scene near the end of the film, standing at the bar just behind Jim Carrey.

Trivia: During filming of the scene in the bar where Carl turns around into a waitress and falls flat on his back, Jim Carrey performed the stunt incorrectly and broke three ribs.

Allison: The world's a playground. You know that when you are a kid, but somewhere along the way everyone forgets it.

Carl Allen: I do want to take guitar lessons. I do want to learn how to fly. Yes, I would like to learn Korean.
