Stir Crazy

Factual error: At the end of the movie, they break out of prison and their lawyer finds them at the hangar. She tells them they are free and they celebrate and get in the car and drive off. Innocent or not, they broke out of prison. I highly doubt red tape would allow an official to say, "Oh well, never mind, we were gonna release them anyway." (01:46:25)

Continuity mistake: When Harry says the word to trigger the bull, the bull runs out at him and has horns. But in another shot later, the "bull" seems to have become a cow (with no horns).

Trivia: The prison scenes were filmed inside a real prison. The warden of the prison agreed to the use of the prison for the movie if 1/3 of the money was used to improve the prison. Richard Pryor talks about his experiences behind the scenes on his Here And Now DVD.

Skip Donahue: We tried to teach him charades! He didn't get it! He just didn't get it.

Rory: That's Grossberger. The biggest mass murderer in the history of the southwest? My dear, he killed his entire family and all of his relatives in one weekend and then he killed some more people that reminded him of his family.

Chosen answer: Because his employers discovered he had put grass (marijuana) in the salad and got all the dinner guests high. Well, he didn't, the cook did. But he brought it into the house so he was fired.

Question: Why did all the bank patrons look annoyed when the bank robbers used the jingle that Harry and Skip used?

Answer: The robbers' performance was poorly done and unrehearsed as opposed to Skip and Harry's performance from earlier in the film, which was enjoyed and even applauded by the bank customers.
