Revealing mistake: Why does the railroad station look so old? It should be almost new at the time of the film.

Ned Kelly (2003)
Directed by: Gregor Jordan
Starring: Naomi Watts, Geoffrey Rush, Heath Ledger, Orlando Bloom
Factual error: In one scene where the Kelly boys arrive at their home a flashing red light can be seen from either an aircraft (port light) or the top of a radio tower.
Factual error: In the film, many hostages and policemen are killed and wounded in the final shootout at Glenrowan. In actual fact, two hostages (Martin Cherry and John Jones) were killed and two more wounded, and on the police side only Superintendent Hare, an Aboriginal tracker and a civilian volunteer were wounded. There was no travelling circus present.
Julia Cook: Don't make me grieve for you.
Ned Kelly: I ain't dead yet.
Joe Byrne: I'm sure there's no harm in being friendly.
Ned Kelly: They said I'd lost what it meant to be human, maybe never had it in the first place, but wasn't this about protecting the ones I loved? The ones who gave me food, and shelter, even the clothes on me back? And therefore wasn't it now a war?
