Plot hole: In the first season, Lucy Ewing had an affair with Ray, the farm hand at South Fork. Several years later, it was revealed that Ray was actually Jock Ewing's illegitimate son, making him Lucy's uncle. However, the subject of their affair was never raised, even though they surely would have been at least somewhat traumatized upon learning of the accidental incest.
Revealing mistake: At the start of every episode, during the credits, you can see the shadow of the helicopter filming the aerial scenes.
Reunion (1) - S2-E1
Factual error: In the scene where Bobby and Pamela arrive at their hotel In "Las Vegas," they are actually in the Hyatt Regency Dallas. You can see Reunion Tower through the windows in the atrium. (00:09:20)
Trivia: Larry Hagman ("JR") was the only actor to appear in all 357 episodes of the show.
Trivia: The "Who Shot J.R.?" shtick was so secretive that even the actors didn't know the answer.
Question: Given how long it ran and its popularity, was there ever talk of a crossover with Dynasty regardless of different networks?
Question: Why does everyone put up with JR? Why not throw him off the ranch and out of the company?
Answer: In real life, that might happen, but this is a fictional TV show that revolves around the characters and the dynamic interaction between them. Getting rid of JR, a main character that much of the story line revolves around, would make the show far less interesting, less melodramatic, and less intriguing. It's just an entertaining, over-the-top exaggerated soap opera.

Answer: No, back then such things were unheard of. Too much politics, contract disputes and what would the characters do if they met.
