The Good Girl

Continuity mistake: In the scene where Justine's husband needs 'help' at the doctor's office, Justine is wearing a flannel shirt and overalls. Then, when she's back at work, she's suddenly wearing a multicolored sweater briefly for one scene (which is what she wears two days later during the day she talks to Holden's parents), then at the end of the day she's suddenly wearing the same flannel shirt and overalls. Visible crew/equipment: Towards the end of the movie, there is a scene in a kitchen where you can see the microphone on a boom above the actors, almost out of camera range, but not quite.

Visible crew/equipment: Several shots in the movie show an employee in a manager's booth giving announcements over the store loudspeaker. In virtually every different shot you can see the camera reflected in the glass of the manager's booth.

Trivia: The nurse in the doctor's office when Phil goes in to test his sperm is also in the scene as an employee when the store sees on the TV that Holden has died.

Justine: What are we doing here?
Holden: Makin' one outta two.

Justine: I thought if I died today what would happen to me? A hateful girl... A selfish girl... An adulteress... A liar.

Bubba: If I were a woman, I'd be a slut. A lesbian slut.

Question: When Bubba told Justine about the bill for the motel, why did he think she would tell Phil about them? They were never at the motel.

Answer: Bubba was afraid that if Phil confronted Justine about the hotel bill that, not only would she confess about her affair with Holden, but that she might also tell Phil about what happened with Bubba.

Question: It seems to be made clear that Holden is the father of the baby, since there were issues with Phil's sperm. However, Justine had sex with Bubba as well. What about the possibility of him being the father?

Answer: I think you answered your own question. The only certainty is that Phil is NOT the father because of fertility issues, though he apparently deludes himself into believing that he has somehow gotten Justine pregnant.

Question: Is there any significance to Justine looking almost the same - wearing a jacket over jeans, with her hair tied back - for much of the movie?

Answer: I would say her similar clothing style represents that although she wanted her life to change, it never did, and she ultimately remained stuck in her never-ending routine, always looking the same, never moving forward in a new direction.
