Visible crew/equipment: When the first deal goes wrong and the man with the chainsaw jumps out the window you can clearly see him land on a grey crash mat because it lifts up at the corners. (00:27:55)

Scarface (1983)
Directed by: Brian De Palma
Starring: Al Pacino, Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio, Michelle Pfeiffer, Steven Bauer
Continuity mistake: When Tony shoots Manny after he finds out that he has been with Gina, she runs to hold his bloody body, in turn getting blood on her robe. A few scenes later, when Gina comes into Tony's office, wearing the same robe, it is perfectly clean and there is no sign of any blood. (02:27:50 - 02:30:00)
Suggested correction: Actually, blood is visible on her robe in the close up shots of her. A spot can be seen on the edge of her robe right at chest level.
Continuity mistake: Tony and Omar Suarez go down to Bolivia to meet with Mr. Sosa. After Omar has an accident from the chopper, the binoculars are put down on the table on end. Next shot, they lay flat. Next shot, on end again. And so on through out the scene. (01:07:20)
Trivia: The Playstation 2/PC game "Grand Theft Auto - Vice City" by Rockstar Games is modeled on Scarface; the mansion, cars, environment, buildings, the Babylon Club ('Malibu Club' in the game), and even some of the game scenarios are similar (for instance, taking over the mansion and chainsaw scenes).
Trivia: When Tony meets with his lawyer after being caught, the lawyer states that he can get Tony acquitted from the drugs charges, but he will get sent to jail for tax evasion. Al Capone - the real life "Scarface" - was convicted and sent to prison for this very same crime.
Trivia: In the final scene when Tony's house is being raided, there is a moment where he attempts to grab a gun and then lets go immediately. What happened was that the gun was so hot, it actually burnt Al Pacino's (Tony) hand and he was unable to perform for about a week or two. That allowed director Brian DePalma to shoot the scenes of the shooters moving throughout the house.
Tony Montana: I always tell the truth. Even when I lie.
Tony Montana: In this country, you gotta make the money first. Then when you get the money, you get the power. Then when you get the power, then you get the women.
Tony Montana: I kill a communist for fun, but for a green card, I gonna carve him up real nice.
Question: Was the double cross with the chainsaw scene a set up by F.Murray Abraham? Or was it a genuine deal and did he just suspect it may be dangerous, and sent Tony because he annoyed him?
Answer: It's unlikely a set up. Tony is supplied with money and guns to defend himself. If this was a setup, the toad would've had more details. He would've known Tony had backup with guns and they would've waited to ambush them. Also makes no sense for Omar to put himself at risk without a legitimate opportunity to make cash. Frank knew about the deal as he supplied the buy money. Omar seemed loyal to Frank. Why would he send some low level thugs to be set up losing his boss' money in the process? All he would do is lose trust and be suspected.
Chosen answer: While it is never really mentioned I think it is a safe bet that it was a double cross. F. Murray Abraham was seen later in the film to be an informant and killed because of it.
