Cat on a Hot Tin Roof

Cat on a Hot Tin Roof (1958)

Continuity mistake: After Maggie (Liz Taylor) goes outside to confront Brick at the car during a raging rainstorm getting thoroughly soaked, she appears a short time later in the drawing room in the same dress, immaculate hairstyle and makeup, looking like she hadn't seen a single drop of water.

Continuity mistake: When Maggie arrives at the house, one of Sister Woman's kids throws icecream at her legs. She scrapes it off and smears it into the girl's face, but that amount is about three times as much as she scraped from her leg.

Audio problem: When Maggie and Big Daddy arrive at the estate from the airport and leave the car, she says "Brick loves you. He does." This sentence is cut in two shots from two angles, and in the second her mouth isn't moving.

Trivia: Brick's (Paul Newman) latent homosexuality seems to be purposely avoided in the movie's screenplay, as opposed to the original Williams play. Probably so as not to offend sensitive 50's audiences. Modern audiences will more than likely pick up the signs and wonder '...is he?'.
