Other mistake: Moose was narrating what he was writing in his second letter to Mr. Dunbar. There were 64 words, 12 more words after "P.S.", then "Love, Moose." A view of his finished letter showed it was way too short to have included everything he supposedly wrote, and the expected format did not match. (00:26:20 - 00:27:10)
Revealing mistake: The five dollar bill that was tossed toward Todd's bucket but landed on the rim and hung over the side was obviously fake (not legal tender). (00:18:20)
Continuity mistake: Moose is sitting at a desk writing a letter to Mr. Dunbar in a spiral bound notebook. There is a magazine to the right of the notebook with about the same width. After a couple quick camera shifts, the notebook is suddenly stacked on top of a few magazines and whatever Moose is writing on is obstructed by the stack. After a couple more quick camera shifts, the notebook is back in front of Moose, and he tears out the page he was writing on. (00:25:55)
Trivia: The scene where Devon Sawa talks about Limp Bizkit was not scripted. He was doing some improv and did a whole bit about how much he likes the band as a joke and a nod to director Fred Durst, who is the lead singer of the band. Sawa and Durst didn't intend for the take to be used in the finished film. However, when it was picked up for distribution, the studio had the film slightly recut and decided to use the take, slightly embarrassing the two.
Trivia: The celebrity address app lists several famous fictional characters, including Jack Torrance from "The Shining" and Tyler Durden from "Fight Club."
