Plot hole: At the end of the movie, the father sneaks into the bunker. Are we to believe that he didn't see his bloodied son lying at the entrance?

Suggested correction: By this point, Da-hye, the daughter of the Park family, had already found Ki-woo's unconscious body in the basement and carried him out. She was seen carrying him during all the chaos in the back yard, and Ki-taek even sees her carrying him shortly before he stabs Mr. Park, so by the time he flees to the basement, Ki-woo was no longer there.

Casual Person

Continuity mistake: Throughout the movie in several scenes the living room has 2 couches even up until the Parks are getting ready to leave for their camping trip, 1 big one and one small. The very next scene when the Kims are getting drunk, the small couch has disappeared. This must be to make room for the Kims to slide and crawl out from under the table. The strange thing is when the Parks come back home, they don't notice that one of their couches is missing. It remains missing until the end.

Continuity mistake: Just before the violent climax at the party, the pool of blood and the pieces of glass change position next to to Ki-woo, as the noose does. (01:51:55)

Trivia: This is the first non-English language film to win the Academy Award for Best Picture.

Trivia: Throughout the film, lines are very subtly used to divide the Kim and Park families. Ex. Walls, picture frames and other objects with vertical lines often appear between members of either family when both are on the screen. One of the earliest examples is when Mrs. Park is introduced, and we see her outside of a window. There is a very clear line in the window between she and Ki-Woo, implying a sense of separation. Instances like this are littered throughout the film.

Trivia: Bong Joon-Ho originally intended to make "Parasite" a play, but he kept thinking about how he'd film it if it were a movie during the early writing process. He very quickly realised he instead had to make it into a movie.
