Revealing mistake: When the bully's held up by Sam wires can be faintly seen.

Deadly Friend (1986)
Directed by: Wes Craven
Starring: Kristy Swanson, Anne Twomey, Matthew Labyorteaux, Michael Sharrett
Character mistake: Given how smart the lead is he doesn't seem to know the proper dosage of sleeping meds he put into his mother's coffee. He placed in enough to possibly cause an overdose.
Plot hole: It seems unlikely Paul could've just taken Sam's body out of the hospital with ease and not run into security.
Suggested correction: Saying that something "seems unlikely" isn't really good enough to constitute a plot hole.
Trivia: Kristy Swanson received coaching from a professional mime in order to properly move like a cyborg.
Trivia: Wes Craven has stated that he was surprised that the film was even watchable, citing that he was going through a nasty divorce, being hit with a false plagiarism lawsuit and had just lost several major directing gigs (including "Beetlejuice") during production, impacting his mental state. He also was dealing with studio-mandated rewrites and reshoots that changed the story drastically from his original vision.
Trivia: In a confusing bit of studio meddling, the producers allegedly forced director Wes Craven to reshoot much of the film and make the murders gorier to appeal to the slasher crowd... and then complained that the movie was "too gory" after he delivered exactly what they asked for.
Tom: Hey, she's dead? Hey, what the hell are you doing, you didn't say anything about a dead body, we were supposed to save her life.
