Continuity mistake: As they are fleeing the alien base, Supergirl and the others run towards the portal, Winn activates it and jumps through. In a following shot (after a 'friendly' alien helps them), he is standing behind Supergirl again. (00:32:00 - 00:32:35)
Supergirl (2015)
Starring: Calista Flockhart, Melissa Benoist, Mehcad Brooks, David Harewood
Continuity mistake: Rick Malverne has handcuffs on when J'onn goes in as his dad. When he figures out it was J'onn, he tells them they have "23 hours and 14 minutes," looks at his watch and the cuffs are gone. (00:21:30 - 00:25:00)
Other mistake: During an argument, Maggie's father mentions the border wall being built to keep people from entering the country illegally. This is obviously a reference to the real-life presidency of Donald Trump, but within the show's continuity, his comment doesn't make sense: in "Resist", the penultimate episode of season two, it's revealed that President Olivia Marsdin is literally an alien from outer space, and earlier in the season in "Welcome to Earth", she signed an executive order offering aliens such as herself full citizenship if they so desired it. If she's that tolerant of extraterrestrials, it seems unlikely that she'd be so intolerant of foreign immigrants as to resort to such an extreme action in foreign policy like building a wall on the border.
Trivia: The episode "Exodus" introduces Mon-El's father Lar Gand. In DC comics, Lar Gand was the birth name of Mon-El.
The Adventures of Supergirl - S2-E1
Trivia: When Cat Grant walks to her office door, she screams out, "Miss Teschmacher!" In Superman and Superman 2, Miss Teschmacher was Lex Luthor's assistant and him screaming her name was his way of getting her to run to him.
Cat Grant: All four of you standing there doing nothing, you look like the attractive yet non-threatening, racially diverse cast of a CW show.
Question: Does Kat ever wise up again to Kara's secret? That and why did she (Flockhart) leave the show only to come back?
Question: Why did they change her costume and hair style?
Answer: Another part of why the change was that it's cold in Canada in the winter and the old costume didn't protect her from it, whereas the new one is nice and warm.
Answer: I can't say for certain, so I'm surmising that the change was to "catch up" with the other Arrowverse shows, particularly Arrow and The Flash, whose lead characters have undergone various upgrades and redesigns of their superhero suits over the years; after four seasons, Kara's probably just felt a little stale. And I believe the change in hairstyle was Melissa Benoist's personal decision and had nothing to do with the character.
Question: Why did they move the show to Vancouver?
Answer: For one, it's usually cheaper to film in Vancouver because of the tax breaks. But all the CW Arrowverse shows (with the exception of "Black Lighting") are/were filmed in Vancouver. So it makes it easier and cheaper for sharing set designs, crossovers, etc ("Black Lightning" filmed in Vancouver during its crossover). Originally "Supergirl" wasn't part of the Arrowverse when it was on CBS, but it was too expensive to produce and wasn't reaching the wider audience the CW shows had. So CBS moved it to its sister company, The CW.

Answer: Yes, s02e22. As Kara leaves her office, she said "go get them, Supergirl" to herself. After season 1, the show switched from a CBS production to a CW production and filming moved from L.A. to Vancouver. Flockhart isn't really a fan of traveling to shoot, and didn't want to be away from her family for so long.
