Continuity mistake: In the scene where they are discussing why Dalton fired Mr Wesley's nephew (upstairs in the Double Deuce). Mr Wesley's nephew threatens Dalton with a knife and when Dalton takes a swing at him, there is blood on Mr Wesley's nephew's face way before contact. (00:34:05 - 00:38:00)
Road House (1989)
Directed by: Rowdy Herrington
Starring: Sam Elliott, Patrick Swayze, Kelly Lynch, Ben Gazzara
Continuity mistake: This mistake occurs when Dalton shakes Emmet's hand while outside the horse barn. When they first meet he is working, wearing gloves. After they make intros and shake hands, he is not wearing gloves. In the immediate scene after, he is shown picking up hay and the gloves are back on. (00:20:50)
Visible crew/equipment: When Dalton is getting the antenna at Red's, when the camera scans to show red, you can clearly see someone handing him the antenna through the shelves. (00:34:05)
Trivia: During the fight scene between Jimmy and Dalton, Jimmy slams a log against Dalton's chest. The log you see here is a real one. Marshall Teague thought the log was a breakable prop and kept slamming it into Patrick Swayze's chest with each take. By the end, Swayze's chest was covered in bruises.
Trivia: When Wade Garrett (Sam Elliot) first shows up at the Double Deuce, there is a fight out back by the delivery truck. Morgan (Terry Funk) says 'none of your business, Dad' to Wade. Terry Funk is two months older than Sam Elliot in real life.
Red Webster: Don't ever marry an ugly woman. Just sucks the life right out of you.
Question: Both the main characters are named after cowboys, Dalton and Wade Garrett. Was this intentional?
Question: In the scene just before the party at Brad Wesley's house, Dalton is reading a book by the window in his room. What is the name of the book he's reading?
Chosen answer: Legends of the Fall by Jim Harrison.
Question: When Dalton and Doc are leaving the bar, you can see the Bigfoot monster truck with Jimmy in it. As there are only 2 other cars in the car park, why wouldn't Dalton have confronted them?
Answer: As we see throughout the film, Dalton is not confrontational, and always takes the path of least violence. He wouldn't confront them, he would wait for them to attack him.
